I pulled both my hamstrings in the dads race at my daughters sports day coupleof weeks ago and went arse over tit. Not my greatest day. Played footy at Sunday league level for 15 years or so and never injured them once. It bloody hurts.
It got to the point I needed to give up footy, cricket, lifting weights, running. Any of these exercises left me unable to stand up straight for days on end. It has given me my life back.
Is it like a more vigorous version of yoga. I’ve done a bit in the house but always fancied giving Pilates a go. I feel great when I’m stretching regularly.
I've never done yoga. Pilates is all about using the muscles in our body that usually stand idle as these areas tend to be where problems occur.
You’re not the first person to mention how good it’s been. I’ll YouTube one later when the 12 hour sesh hangover sods off.
Might be mate. Right tib and fib twice, right ankle, 2 metatarsals, radius on both arms and now this. Also broken my nose 4 times but that was whilst kick boxing Si they don’t count. Edit. Forgot about the middle 3 toes on my right foot too.
One of our lot did similar on holiday. Fell down the stairs. Nee idea which bones but their shoulder was a right clip.
@marcusblackcat hope you don't mind me posting this here....not trying to hijack your thread, but seemed an appropriate place to post. Three pics, 21st, 22nd and 23rd July, 2021. Had a static caravan at Brighouse Bay, near Kirkcudbright, Dumfries & Galloway. Went for a day out at Kipford, nr Dalbeattie. Sitting having an ice cream at Kipford. See the ledge in front of the people next to us? We'll, the Mrs didn't.... If you've ever seen the film "Misery", think of that.....it was bloody horrible. This was the following day in Dumfries & Galloway Royal Hospital.....she was in there for a week. Due to this.... Tibia and Fibia both clean breaks....all screws and pins in for life. She is just about back to normal now...just over 12 months on.
Makes my broken shoulder look like a small itch!!! Brutal. Of course I don’t mind mate. No problem at all
We will miss as this weekend, on our annual cost to the Edinburgh Fringe. Always 50/50 if it lands on a home game, but you have to book accommodation so far in advance you can’t wait til the fixtures are out.
