Also, I’ll shut up about us signing a tall ball-winning midfielder if Alfie regularly plays as a holding midfielder. Thought he played very well in midfield yesterday and we seemed more shaky when we went back to a back 5.
I’m starting to think Allahyar is better at wing back than all out attacker, he seems to lack quality on his final ball but his defensive work rate is unbelievable.
I disagree. I think his pressing up top is invaluable alongside Tetteh and Oscar, as seen yesterday. The only real weaknesses of his game are end product, which can be improved over time. He’s only a young lad, remember.

I am surprised how people rate him so highly. He puts a shift in but his crossing is woeful and he has only scored the once. His dive lead to the counter attack yesterday which resulted in the free kick and goal. We went from coasting to hanging on.
Maybe Shota wants the flexibility to play different systems and is trying to get players in to cover that
He’s like a little jack russel dog constantly harrassing and chasing everything, you need players like him in any team. Playing out wide though he needs to work on his crossing. Get that right and he will be a constant threat to any team in this league.
“Acun Ilıcalı met with Pelkas face-to-face and convinced the player to the project of Hull City. Negotiations are made with the player for material details”.
Bowen used to work really hard for us defensively but I noticed after 6months of playing and being coached at west ham he is more selective and educated in how he expends energy. Wonder if this helps improve the quality at the other end. No doubt Allahyar can run all day but perhaps a bit of the sloppiness up top isn't helped by how much energy he uses up chasing everything?
Odd that we've been hearing about Pelkas for weeks, always a permanent transfer, 3.5m mentioned. Now it's a loan.. maybe Acun is having to alter plans due to finances?
