Yes, I know, which is apparently why Shota lasted 13 days longer than anticipated. *if you believe the chatter, or just that Acun wanted to do it in person this morning 'cos of his bike crash (#cough) .
No shots on target ? I thought Coyle had a tame effort straight at the keeper , must have been going wide
I’d be looking as an absolute priority for a no nonsense experienced centre half on the unattached and available list. Try and shore up that piss poor defence which has more holes in it than a sieve.
I thought in Woods we where getting a good footballer, he was at Brentford, thought he was a Prem player in the making. What the heck happened. Awful.
Firstly, the owner now faces one of the biggest decisions he's faced thus far.Does he continue along the same path he has bought into(old pals acts) or does he try something a bit different and put his trust in someone from within the English game who's got some Championship nous? Up to him really but if he makes the wrong move here he could put his investment in some jeopardy and who knows maybe he'll look to up sticks and sell up. 'Re : Honeyman, bit of a pointless argument? You clearly see him as no big loss and I see the evidence in points gained that he most certainly is!As for Tan Kessler,I couldn't give a frog's fat ass about him unless he wants to pop his head round the door of the Hull not 606 forum and engage in debate...
Mentioned it before, but Jason Denayer is available. Thought Christie looked a lot brighter when he came on too. Adds pace to the side.
Nicely put ric. Pretty much bang on as i see it. We are a team without any confidence. Luton got lucky and we didnt. We have a team in there somewhere, we need to pick one and stick with it
I’ve said it for a while we need a ****house player in midfield, a proper captain who will harrass the ref over every decision, kick his own players up the arse, a shouter, a right dirty bastard who scares the **** out of the oppo, an Ian Ashbee if you like, our players are as soft as ****, not one questions the ref, no one shouts, Coyle is never a captain, never will be. Until we get that type of player, teams will keep strolling past us with the ease we’ve seen all season. Don’t get me started on the bastard defence.
I thought overall, despite the result, it was an improvement. Admittedly that’s not difficult. I thought there was more reaction to going behind, we passed the ball going forward much better than in, pretty much every game. Final ball was lacking, but there was positives to take from the game. The negatives, unfortunately, outweigh them. Still fannying around with the ball at the back, have we seriously learnt nothing? At one point a pass back to Baxter almost gifted their striker. Greaves, I said in League 1 he was terrible at defending, but everyone was all over him saying he’s great, I said the same last season & this, he grabs people to defend, should have given away a penalty, but got lucky. Some, still believe he’s a £10 million defender, going to get nabbed by a PL team, only PL team going to grab him is the non league PL. Jones, looked pissed off after his OG, never got anything going. Does anyone know if Christie can play CB?
Someone (can’t remember who) was going absolutely ballistic because Woods wasn’t making any space for himself to receive a pass. It was like he didn’t want the ball today. I always pay attention to what the fans of our new signings’ previous clubs say about them because a lot of the time it’s accurate. Fener and Watford fans were right about Tufan; Brum fans about Woods. Leopards don’t change their spots.
You could build a team from currently unattached players that would probably be better than our current starting 11. Dale Stephens Defensive midfielder unattached. Leandro Bacuna unattached. Vydra unattached.
I see him as a necessary loss if we want to progress and he got a comparable offer in london with greater squad parity so he went for it - as someone with no affiliation to our club other than contract and self interest at the centre of their decision probably would. That's football. Take a breath, wipe your tears and get over it. We've replaced him with 2 players we haven't seen yet and 1 other still finding their feet. We've also seen Tufan show some class in that role in the early games despite being more box to box naturally. We've at least replaced Honeyman with others who can play the role. Time will tell on how successful they are. We've completely overlooked or decided we don't need an horrible ball-winning bastard who can organise in midfield. Not replacing Smallwood is exposing our defence to the opposition press, means there's no base to counter attack from, so we can't pin them back and we also have the defensive solidity of a 3 am turd after 8 pints of Guinness.
yeh defo hides from the ball along our back line when we have the ball. Might as well play Seri. Seri Doc and Slater next game please.
Oh he signed two days ago. Missed the boat there. Timothée Kolodziejczak is also available, 15 caps for France.
