I'm unsure I understand? They scored 99 goals, just in the Premier league last season. Scoring a **** load has never been an issue, If its him scoring 3 or 3 players scoring 1 a piece it doesn't really make a great deal of odds
Was talking about Haaland. If Man City are that creative that you could have scored a hat full, why hasn't any other player looked like destroying the record books like Haaland? They'll score more than that 99 this season, a lot more. Haaland is the business mate and him being at Man City is going to make it a boring one team league (us turning ****e doesn't help with that either)
Can’t doubt Haaland is quality. Get what saying that’s they scored **** loads last years anyway so does it make much difference? Maybe not in the league when they will run away with it even without him probably. However he’s been brought in to make difference in the big cup games. The Madrid game last season, so many chances but couldn’t put the game to bed. Haaland is there to put them away and help them win the CL.
Think I’ve said a few times that we are refreshing the team. As you say we did it with the defence by bringing in Konate tsimikas and now Ramsay. We did it with the forwards brining in Jota, then diaz then Nunez. We brought in young players in Elliott and carvahlo in order to get best youth out there. Don’t think it’s a secret that klopp wanted midfield. Clearly we need and want to refresh but didn’t get targets this year and with numerous players still on the books we need to shift a few (couple out of contract). If we don’t lose anyone at the back or up top then don’t see us signing anymore defenders forwards so can put whole budget towards midfield. Should be looking to spend £150m on the refresh. Bellingham and one other to come in and liven up that midfield. Thiago fabinho bellingham Hendo Jones Carvalho Elliott back up plus 1 other new signing. Ox Keita Milner to move on
To be honest, I've watched very little of anyone other than Liverpool this season so not really one to judge. Stats by themselves he looks immense, but what you say makes sense and fits with what I've seen previous seasons with City.
Ive watched a reasonable amount of games this season, city included. He doesn't look unstoppable, he looks a focal point for their attack, like I said he will score alot, but others will score less. As its to early to say if nunez is ****e, its too early to think halland is the best striker ever. The media hype is ridiculous and alot our buying into it. I'm not saying he's not very good, but the collective **** fest over him is slightly bemusing.
what an absolute prick mccunty is. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63153370 has a go at trent for existing cos reece james "doesn't get the credit he deserves" by all means lavish praise on james if you like but why drag a player who didn't ask for any of southgate's **** not the press attacks into your praise for said chelsea RB. this shartilce has faff all about what james actually did last night (3 sentances) but rather a commentary on who mc ****y will keep this up all the way to the world cup. he mentions trent about 40 times and james hard a all TBH.
Nunez chances 1. Ball breaks off jota tackle and nunez snaffles it up and fires ball a goal. outside 6 yard lines here so tight angle and keeper does well to save 2. Nunes has Henderson hoof a high ball into box (hoof is unkind but its a otton ball that forces him wider than run wanted and has to control then shoot. He shoots from right foot which is stronger foot when left is better (confidence) 3. Salah makes a run on right and nunez makes near post run drawing men. jota and diaz are in the box hich is great for us as its rare we have so many in there. again its outside the lines of the 6 yard area so tight. keeper knows faff all about it as it his his heel and goes out for corner. 4. diaz back heels to jota in a nice quick play. jota plays ball towards pen area and nunez outruns the rangers defenders and hits a poor shot of left foot. its right at the keeper Overall he never got a header, no crosses found him. He had 2 he should have done better on and two the keeper did well on from tight angles. A lot of his work is being done at tight enough angles rather than right in the middle of the goal so we need his types of runs for sure but they need to be more central if we can get the ball to him. Confidence is then the key.
the LFC extended highlights only show those. Dunno if they cut something but those ae the "MOTD worthy" chances
the thing is see is this lad makes a lot of runs from he middle out towards the near post. If I had jota's ear i'd be telling him to exploit that space left.
