    It's only money! Lol.

Maddison and Gakpo would be a spaff fest of a Jan, Bellingham ain't happening.

    True enough!

Gakpo turned down Leeds, then Forest thought about trying before being told "fellas, Leeds is beneath him, don't waste your time". But PSV agreed the £25m fee. They can ask for more, but I think around £30m could get him and would be a great deal.

Maddison's stats are great, but can anyone define where he plays for Leicester? And so where would he play for us?

It's a fluid role that gets classed as "attacking midfielder", but also encompasses winger, second striker, no 10 and whatever else.

Which is all part of the attraction of him to us, in that he's not rigidly in one position and can adapt to around who's fit at the time. I guess I'd see him playing one side of a front 3 right now, as his goals and assists record is so good.

Makes sense. So we'd have a class player and a decent backup - Bruno/Shelvey (playmaker), Joelinton/Longstaff (worker) then Maddison/Willock (threat). We'd still then need the winger, is what I was getting at.

That's where Gakpo would come in.

replace Joe Willock as the attack minded midfielder of the 3 with Joelinton as the box to box and Bruno as the Deep lying playmaker. Santos on the right once Miggy's goals dry up and Eva's Argie son as back up for Bruno.

Another £10m on Gakpo. This is why we need to focus on scouting first, so we're getting Gakpo and developing him to then make him a £50m+ player. I'd now be surprised if we could either get him or would be willing to pay what will now be a premium.
