So he made a calculated decision to drink drive rather than make a mad decision whilst pissed out of his skull.
RE Joelinton DD. Nobody can argue: He is guilty (and was always). Nobody can argue against the fact that he should know better, and as a role model he has to be better. Nobody can argue that he doesn't have the resources to get a taxi / limo - whatever... This particularly infuriates me. It was very poor judgement on his part. One thing is clear now though, at 43mcg/100ml, he's barely over and it tends to suggest he was telling the truth whereby he stated he had a couple of glasses of wine and presumed he was ok to drive. You lads have at it, call him and us scum - whatever you find your fun in - but I'd hazard a guess that almost all of you (there are always exceptions) have at one point or another had at least a couple of drinks and driven home. In closing - it's not excusable and he should have found another way home, but it's not like he's been blind drunk, or written off a street full of cars, or shagged any kids. Enjoy yourselves lads.
He is not "barely" over the limit. He is over it, and that's it. The limit is there for a reason. No mealy mouthed qualification changes that fact. An appalling, arrogant low life, not fit to live under a wet stone. He had all the multiple options of a multi millionaire, and chose, assuming himself immune to society's norms, the easy, selfish option. Drunk drivers kill hundreds of people each year. They are beyond the pale, and with considerably less than a week's wage as a fine, which is the benchmark, he has been handled very leniently. I'm sure his" remorse" ( and his expensive lawyer) helped a bit there. I hope he gets plenty of stick, and then some more stick. He deserves it. If Howe was the moral grandstander he was a few years ago he would have applied his own playing sanction. But moral positions are something he abandoned when he became a propagandist for Saudi Arabia . And thank you, but no one here needs either your blessing or permission to enjoy themselves.
It's not even like we have to take the moral high ground any more as they are actively tunneling lower
He broke lockdown rules to go and get a haircut if I remember correctly. I hazard a guess that he's an absolute ****.
50mcg/100ml when the test was first taken at the roadside. How long did it take between the first and second? We will never know.
Pretty sure the “who?” is regarding the club he signed for, rather than the player, but looks as though you missed that particular barb.
A passionate, almost foaming response, as expected. No blessing or permissions being doled out here, but I do hope you carry on squeezing every last bit of enjoyment out of our gutter worthy behaviour. Good signing is Gelhardt by the way. Should do well for you. Surprised he’s fallen out of favour at Leeds a bit.
Lucky lad, I'd be sacked if I was a drunk in charge of a car ... ... I expect he appreciates the kind of club he's working for and knows he'll just get away with it.
As you are not "done" the response was neither passionate nor foaming, unless you misunderstand the meaning of the words. I have really no idea why you would want to post on the forum of another club, but you can never really tell I suppose, some people have needs that can never be adequately described. Forgive and forget a drunken driver if you feel good about it. Then go and find someone who has lost someone to a driver 'just" over the limit.
