Lol. Got some City fans thrown out from the corner of the opposite stand (next to the away end) I was giving them ****er signs and then 'come on then' gestures. The old bill nabbed them as they were trying to climb the fence This was also back in the days when they were **** before the oil money.
That stand opposite is the Kippax, we got the right hand corner the league game we beat them 3-2 from 2 nil down at half time! Was way better than the North stand incident tbh. Was also stood in the Kippax when we beat Liverpool 2-1 in 85 FA Cup semi final, which was an absolutely superb night. Two of the best games I've ever been to were there, but also seen us lose a couple of times. Never been the Emptyhad, and have no intention to ever go either.
I still remember that ground before all that **** fencing. So didn't recognise it straight away, because they'd given it paint up in that photo as well lol.
That's the old Gordon Road stand @Gessa, built by the dockers, you use to be able to walk round the back of it to swap terracing at HT - Knocked down a long time ago now, after the Bradford fire.
I loved that old ground as a lad. I was what was known as a Town End supporter those days, before it became the away end, bastards. That old Gordon Road stand in the pic, was the shut up and sit down brigade lol. Great memories of Ron Hillyard (you won't know him), Steve Bruce. Tony Cascarino and a few others. Edit: Oh nearly forgot Peter Feely a Chelsea player, played for us because he rarely got a start up against the likes of Peter Osgood & Co.
I like lower division **** holes can smell the piss from the photo……good ole days nice ground that brb my type of place compared to the **** on offer these days
Spurs in 3043 when they think they are about to win their first trophy in over a thousand years, then even when the Aliens abduct the oppo goalie they still **** it up #spursy
