If you are referring to game ratings Dimi was actually rated well down, and quite lower than Sam. Not sure where you are getting your information from.
Twitter, quoting a Stoke forum I believe. Rumour came from the Stoke side of things, not NCFC, which is the only reason I mentioned it, weird rumour to make up. Supposedly they'll pay him more than us, and I can't imagine we've offered reassurances that he'll be first choice LB.
The WhoScored ratings, where Dimitri was credited with a clearance off the line and a last man tackle to make him our highest rated player.
Wagner's classy parting statement: "I would like to take this opportunity to wish Norwich City Football Club the very best for the future and to thank Delia, Michael and Mark (Attanasio) for their support during a very challenging season and a half. "It was an exciting opportunity to return to English football and coach a club with such great history and people. I have enjoyed my time in Norfolk, getting to know the community and everyone who supports the club. "When Christoph and I arrived, we were confident that we could help the club to challenge for promotion and whilst we are disappointed by the nature of the result against Leeds, we are also very proud of the hard work that everyone at Norwich City has put into the season to reach the play-off semi-finals in such a competitive league. "Although I am disappointed to be leaving a club with so much potential, I respect that the club has decided to move in a different direction without Christoph and me. I would like to thank the players and staff who have performed so well in my time at Norwich City. The fans have also been an incredible support to the team and although we didn’t manage to achieve promotion this season, I hope that the club will return to the Premier League very soon."
Cross purposes? I took GE2 to be referring, not to the ratings for that single match, but to the cumulative ratings for the season -- McCallum 6.76 (7th in our squad) v Giannoulis 6.65 (12th).
I agree with the overall ratings as I pointed out further up this thread, but it seems irrelevant now as both would appear to be on their way.
As I said See RER post above https://www.not606.com/threads/arrivals-departures-lounges-summer-2023.399656/page-142#post-17555425
I see that our former speedy winger, Placheta, has been released by the Swans. No idea, or interest, in how he did there. Always believed we signed him by accident when we were trying to sign Denis Mann.
Looks like McCallum is definitely off. Surely that's his choice and not Norwich saying we don't need a talented, early 20s, home grown full back.
Paper talk so far, This from the Pinkun: "Jacob Sorensen is set to stay at Norwich City beyond the summer as the club prepares to announce their retained and released list. The Danish midfielder, who was due to be out of contract next month, is understood to have agreed a deal to remain at Carrow Road and will form part of the Canaries’ squad next season. Sorensen, who turned 26 in March, has been a useful utility player for the Canaries since joining from Danish side Esbjerg in 2020 and made his desire to remain in Norfolk clear earlier in the year. He made 13 appearances for City in their push to the Championship play-offs this season, operating as a central midfielder, defender and has previously been used as a left back during an injury crisis in their last title-winning campaign. Sorensen did have an option to extend his stay by a further year, and a fresh agreement has been struck that will keep him at Norwich beyond his current contract."
Sargent to Leeds and Rowe to West Ham Utd. The rumours have started. Be interesting to see if we don’t sell for once, but the chances are slim?
Great, so another 6 matches he'll be available for next season....sicknote Louis Thompson mkII. suppose it'll keep the physios busy As for Sargent, can't see any benefit to Leeds bringing him in (assuming they go up), not composed enough to be a regular scorer in the EPL. Also wouldn't expect him to be fist choice either
These rumours suggest the endless saga of rumours about Aarons over the years. Farke coaches Leeds, Sargent signed when Farke was at City, therefore he wants Leeds to sign him now. Rowe's injury and less inspiring form since may well have cooled interest in him for. now.
I doubt if there is currently anything on Sargent's mind other than his fitness and making the US squad for the up-coming friendlies and subsequent matches in the Copa América group stage.
