    HBIC's Eurovision guide, Pt.2

First of all, may I ask if anyone wanted a sequel to Twister? Because the amount of times I've seen that ****ing trailer...

Greece: Ariana Grande sneaking into Gatecrasher in 1998 with All Saints' body doubles backing her up. On a side note, my other half is about to kill me...

Czechia: quite possibly the first time the term "domestic argument break" has been used since the Troggs Tapes

Malta: we need a word stronger than "horny", especially judging by how she pronounces the word addiction

San Marino: the internet's already shipping Kenzie with Bambie Thug, aren't they?

Armenia: I might enjoy this more if the singer didn't look like a serial killer for every single closeup, to the point I never want to visit Lille

Spain: ...and on the subject of terrifying closeups, here's Norma Desmond. Yikes!

Estonia: so the Beastie Boys, Rob Halford and Bernie Sumner went on a stag weekend...

Israel: hmm, I like the sound of this one...

RIP. That's 2 band members gone in very short time. It seems like 5 minutes ago that Wayne Krammer died. <rose>

I shall be expecting The Damned to include Looking At You in their forthcoming appearances. Only 15 more sleeps to Stone Valley South...

Perhaps if they had marketed with the Thin White Duke remix instead of the original eh.

    RIP Frank Ifield.

Not really my sort of thing at all, but for reasons that I can't remember, I regularly find myself singing 'I Remember You' out loud when I'm doing jobs about the house. I've been doing it for decades...

    **** alone knows why.

    So, thanks for...

    "I remember you-ooh
    You're the one who
    Made my dreams come true
    A few kisses ago!

    I remember you-ooh
    You're the one who
    Said: "I love you, too!"
    Yes, I do, didn'tcha know?

    Bloody hell! <yikes>
    RIP indeed <rose>
Another significant feature of my childhood has departed...although to be fair I think I assumed he had past a while back.
He was an almost ever present on the Saturday night variety shows. Always seemed a decent sort.

In better music news... A couple of mates got late tickets for the Polish rock band Riverside @ the KoKo Theatre, Camden last night. They reported a really good gig in a fabulous venue.
I've seen them a while back and they are all incredible musicians, but I've never been to that place. London is still blessed with some great music venues it seems! :emoticon-0148-yes:

You probably have been there, when it was The Music Machine or Camden Palace. Since then, it was renovated and became Koko, but was pretty much gutted in a fire about 5 years ago.

I remember posting at the time that it might be the end of a great venue, but it was well run, properly insured and is back in business. It's been significantly upgraded and is better than ever.

I worked with a bloke who used to sing " I remember you, you c**t " , childish but funny
I thought Frank Ifield died years ago

Tomorrow sees Mrs B and I heading to Ware for the Stone Valley Festival (South). Tomorrow and Saturday's weather is forecast to be great. Sunday's not so much...which is a shame, as the line up on Sunday is very good.

No hiding that the main point of the trip is seeing The Damned line up from 1980 back together. However, some Ruts, Stranglers, Blockheads, Ferocious Dog and others make it a bloody good line up.

I just hope the air mattresses don't let themselves and us down...
