I'm post surgery from last August. I had 2 brackets and screws fitted into my ankle. The recovery went as normal, i even started running but today ive woke up in agony with my ankle like this??.. Im going to urgent care in the morn..
It probably isn’t it in this case, but have you ever suffered from gout in the ankle? Now that one is nasty.
No mate i wouldn't even know how that feels. I only had my operation in August though so its a worry. Ive had to phone in sick from work tomorrow aswell. Not sure how to go about it really, but turning up at urgent care in the morn os all.i can think of. Gps are a waste of time
Lucky you It almost ruled me out of Wembley a couple of years ago. Couldn’t walk a few days before the game. All the best anyway mate, hopefully nothing too serious.
We have so many expert football coaches, business specialists, solicitors and accountants on this forum ... ... I felt sure there'd be an expert doctor as well, good luck Tees mate.
Tees, I suffered gout in the ankle a few weeks back and it looked like your pic. Could hardly walk and massive pain. However, I did have visible red patches on the skin where it hurt the most. You don't appear to have these, so maybe you can discount gout.
Dosnt look nice mate get well soon I’m sitting here leg is in agony Trapped nerve really bad can’t walk
I'm not an expert at anything mate....apart from...well,I'm pretty good at upsetting people..I'm sorry to say!
Ive been told i have this and need a steroid injection which they cant do. I need to contact the Orphapaedic department and speak to the secretary of the surgeon who operated on me. Ive been doing that all week, left various voicemails and had no reply or answer. Its like banging your head off a brick wall with our Nhs. It took me 4 years to finally get my operation last year after constant being fobbed off by them.
I suffer(ed) from that Tees, used to have regular trips to the walk in because of it. Was told to roll my foot on a tennis ball or a can of beans etc, but relief was only ever temporary. I was recommended to try kinesiology tape, and that did work. Kept it taped up for a couple of weeks, and what a difference it made. I still put it on when I can feel it flaring up, but it's down to maybe two or three days once a year now. I bought it off amazon, think about £10 for two rolls. It worked for me mate, worth a try. I'll post a youtube link later what I followed to tape it up, it needs taping for that particular condition.
Planters stopped me playing walking football 5 years ago and it took nearly two years to clear up All my shoes and slippers have built in soles as I couldn’t walk properly in anything flat It was a right pain in the backside but fortunately hasn’t returned Think Jordon Henderson suffered during his time at the bindippers. Good luck but patience is a good idea.
