Plus point of living in Dorch is we go in on the GWR line to Paddington
I’m not sure we’ll see any Saints fans before we start the pub crawl to the stadium

Heard that before. I’ll believe it when I see them in the match day squad. The fact that Stewart has been out again since his 10 min cameo against Leeds is a joke. Man is made of glass.

Sort of agree, but the fact he was on the subs bench makes me think he was fit, but we were really looking to use him in the final. I think had we gone behind (or even level with 20 mins to go) he would have come on.

It's actually pretty common. After a player has been out for so long and unable to maintain their overall fitness and condition, when they return to putting their body through extreme stress on a regular basis they are bound to pick up injuries.

A full pre-season will make a huge difference.

He had a separate warm up to the rest that looked very simple and easy pre game and at half time though so definitely still not right. Maybe he could have done 10 mins if we had been losing but still, most of us were hoping he’d be up to a full half by then.

He wasn't fit at all. Literally named on the bench to be used in case of emergency; as I mentioned on here last week, he wasn't even doing the pre-match warmups against West Brom because they were managing him so carefully.

The Athletic says Dragan Solak arranged to transport the team from Southampton to the Isle of Wight on a Sunseeker yacht to go and have dinner on the beach in Colwell Bay, then told them that if they win at Wembley, he will pay for them to have 'the party of their lives'.

I mean that seems pretty big motivation, Especially for those knowingly departing this summer.

Henrik Kraft has confirmed in an interview with the Daily Echo that Russell Martin will continue as Saints manager next season, regardless of which division we find ourselves in after Sunday's final at Wembley.

Nah I'm just buzzing for it now. I've hoped for this since last January basically and am delighted now it's here. Set up to be a great final between two closely matched teams too.

Result wise I'm pretty relaxed about it tbh as I see it as a win win personally.

If we win I get to watch us win a Wembley final with my boy and another 36k fellow Saints. It'll probably be up there among favourite games and I'll save a **** load of cash next season.

If we lose then we get another season of championship football where we can celebrate goals and a couple of derbies to look forward to.

I do have a bit of a conundrum though. I want to take a scarf with me as I've not managed to get a flag but the only suitable one is the free one from the league cup final.

Would it be a bad omen to take that do we think?

Well I am taking my scarf that I have had since 2000. Relegations, promotions, last minute winners, last minute losses.

Make some good memories with it!

It’s going to be very one sided I think. Not sure which side, but I think one team will win by at least 2
