We have no idea if he has been offered more or even if we have approached him, so what questions need to be asked
If he doesn't go to Norwich still doesn't mean he'd accept a position here, also might mean we don't consider him Still hoping he does come tho
If Speakman is making the decisions then imo that's bad because he shouldn't be here. If Speakman is here but is being undermined then that is bad because the structure is gone. That's why I see the behind the scenes as a mess and am being so negative about the club atm which is unlike me.
No matter how much benefit of the doubt I give to the club for not signing a recognised striker in over 18 months...Sacking Tony Mowbray, appointing Beale then sacking him in Feb and we still do not have a replacement manager.....it just come across like on huge cluster f uck .... When this is all sorted out some serious questions need to raised. I agree, no-one knows for sure if Still was even an option...but to go 3 months and not have someone in is a dereliction of duty for Speakman and KLD. We are a huge club being run on a shoe string budget.... But for some reason, some on here seem happy with what's going on
Disappointing if true. Think this summer was last chance in eyes of many for Speakman/regime given recent failures. Well done Norwich finding someone already, took them couple of weeks.
Already outlined my reasoning but it all stems down to lack of conviction. Had the option to replace or back Mowbray last summer, did neither. Even the approach to the model, which I like in theory, is half arsed. Don't go all out for youth and then spend wages on Dack who was neither a good player nor a good role model. He spent money on youth in positions we already have young players who aren't getting minutes themselves. Spent something like £3million on Hjelde and Mundle in January, why? Writing off half a season under the guise of getting our pick of the coaches in the summer, to then still not have an appointment this long after the season is done. Spent the most money EVER on transfers by a club within 2 years of promotion from league one outside of the 2 clubs, Norwich and Southampton, that done double promotions yet do we have much to show for it? Poor at loaning players out. Ignored the loan market this season despite it working for us and other clubs the year prior. That enough?
Phil Smith of the echo has run a pretty critical article on the club's search for a new boss too. Anyone reckon the local "journalists" are maybe trying to teach the club a lesson, forget us at your peril...
Good post mate. You’re bang on. It’s last summer that annoys me more than anything. What a chance we had to have a real go.
You are pwsafc from over there aren’t you? It’s a message board man, if we just posted what we knew about the club it wouldn’t last long would it? He even started his post with “personally think”
