    Although Dave Jones was heavily involved in the Beale saga (which he's got away with) so maybe they don't know <laugh><doh>

    transfer window yet to start and the nay-sayers coming out already...this is gonna be an argumentative summer :D

    BCB, they cocked up and apologised and with the news of recent weeks they honestly look like they are trying to 'make things better' and yes i do realise there is still a long way to go.

    new coach, what exactly can the club say to the fans?...we are well aware that they have been/will be looking and until they find someone that is all we will know or need to know, all they could say is that they have been talking to people which tells us feck all anyway, they are never likely to be the first ever professional football club to show us a list of candidates that simply gets updated as each name is crossed off, are they?

    we have no idea if the coach has already been decided and is out there finalising a few details or wanting to keep it quiet until a mutual day to announce it, because we as supporters know the sum total of feck all about the daily board room work which is exactly as it should be...'working with the fans' is good but choice of head coach and player targets should be left to the owners, we all think we know a good player but we would have a squad of 150 and the club bankrupt in a fortnight.

    i may avoid forums for a few months cos this is gonna be hectic and we may see a meltdown of epic proportions ;D

    Obviously if we go for Rosenior and he’s brilliant, I’ll fully hold my hands up and admit I thought wrong, and I’ll applaud those who think he’ll be a success, I just can’t see it.

    That’s your opinion mate and that’s fine but for me having owners who trapped and dismembered a journalist for having spoke out against them is more of a lifelong stain.

    This is just guesswork but I reckon 85% of people are happy to just get on with the Bank Holiday/Summer, have some time away from SAFC and wait to see what happens ...

    ... those on forums may be becoming restless or perhaps they're on forums because of their nature.

    I'd rather the club get on with sorting out the club than 'doing a Donald' and endlessly messaging.

    Anything that's said has 100 interpretations anyway, people 'read between the lines' to find the answer they want.

    <laugh>

    Played some of the best football I've ever seen us play, treated us to the likes of Amad, Rigg, Clarke and others, committed to spending on the SOL/AOL, sorted out the academy, vastly increased the value of the squad and made a shirt big enough for me to squeeze into <laugh>

    We are all guilty of the latter just about, well I certainly am. I guess like you say if they said something people would find negativity in it. But people are finding negativity in the in the perceived inactivity, so anything rumoured to be a negative slant is pounced upon, anything that could be slightly positive is dismissed immediately
    Have a good weekend, no plans for me today other than the FA Cup final cheering on the red half, taking our 15 month old grandson out tomorrow, Monday play it by ear. Tuesday to Friday back to fretting that we still haven’t got a manager

    I have said this before but I think there is a good head coach in Rooney. I watched him closely at Derby and I was impressed with certain aspects. He became a leader and figurehead for a club in complete turmoil. He acted with real authority in that time, bringing some young players together with some older ones. Getting the fans onboard, in an us against them way was very Fergie esque. He cut a really good touchline figure as well. I saw some horrendous refereeing go against him and he was really calm at all times. Good in press conferences as well.

    Not sure he was the coach on the grass. That was very much Rosenior I believe. There was signs of a very good pattern to their play, albeit players had to play a little bit out of position. I tend to think, contrary to popular opinion, if be gets his coaching team right, he could well be a success somewhere like Plymouth.
