Well the bloke knows f all about football going on some of his posts, at least you talk sense Occasionally!!
The reason you failed is coz you had an absolute **** start to the season, you threw everything at playing catch-up, which eventually took it's toll.....imo
Farke relied heavily on individual skill, Ipswich relied on team effort. Ipswich players believed, Leeds caught up and froze. McKenna picked an 11 to compliment each other, Farke picked the 11 best on paper and played them even if out of position Ampadu started as a CM then one game he was CB Gray who’s a CM played at RB and our RB Byram started at LB It seemed to work at the time but a classic case of Farke picking a team of his best individuals, throwing them together and hoping it worked (and for a long time it did). Anyway, good luck in the PL
3 wins from our last 11, and we didn't run out of steam???? Explain it then I'm just going by the statisticians. You listen to:- please log in to view this image
Define run out of steam. Do you mean players looking tired, do you feel they were looking tired with 11 games to go. Do you feel we could have signed 2-3 players in January and they’d have been happy sitting on the bench for 9 games whilst we went on our winning streak (9 out of 9 wins, nobody managing to score against us in the last 45 minutes, conceded something like 4 goals). You honestly feel we ran out of steam (tired) and it wasn’t a case of teams either defending in huge numbers sitting back and catching us on the break, one shot one goal or pressing Meslier and our defenders looking lost. Farke had fresh legs he could use, he shipped out Ayling (9 assists for Borough) and Drameh, he brought in Anthony he only used Gruev when it was forced on him Time and time again we repeated the same mistakes and Farke never had an answer.
Running low on anaerobic energy. Less sharp, getting to the ball a fraction late, less effective turn of pace. We saw it start against Millwall (who we beat 2-0 I think) before the International break. After the break, we were visibly off the pace
Yes. Farke only has substitutes for Bamford - Piroe, Summerville - Anthony, Gnonto - James and Firpo - Byram - Roberts - Gray. (on the main part) Rodon and Ampadu (two of our most important players) have averaged 5000 minutes of game time this season which is ridiculous. When Rodon was substituted for Cooper v Norwich, this was the only the 2nd time this season he had been substituted. Amps has only been subbed once; 90 mins v Preston when we went 2-1 down. We could have easily have spread more minutes and keep players fresh! Both players have suffered. Rodon was (I don't know about today) getting pain killing injections so he could play, such is Farke's lack of trust for Cooper and Cresswell. Not replacing Struijk was a major gamble.
Perhaps if he had signed a certain target man, someone good in the air, who can hold the ball up, then maybe they could have had a plan B?
Evening chaps. Great day of footy at our national stadium today and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. In particular I hope the thousands of Leeds fans with tickets in our end enjoyed the celebrations after the whistle Good luck next season and we'll probably see you the following one.
These stats are absolute nonsense. Moore came in and helped but he was filling in for the injured Hirst. Morsy PFA fans player of the year. Davis Championship team of the year. Davis Championship top assists from full back. Morsy player’s player. Chaplin and Broadhead club top scorers. Hutchinson young player. Burns goal of the season. So it goes on.
