The NHS is woefully understaffed when it comes to doctors and nurses (something like 40,000 short), couple that with being inundated with legal / illegal migrants and you have the perfect storm.

I was going to suggest this as I was reading the thread. Microscopic rips in the muscle. My right ankle swelled like that and I could hardly put my foot to the floor. My advice would be if you can, to seek out a chiropodist/physio privately, you'll be waiting yonks for an NHS appointment. Mine cleared up after about 8 weeks as I followed the advice that I was given, ie stretches, hot and cold packs. Everyone is different, but it's best to nip it in the bud.

Half of your statement is correct. And you have Brexit to thank for it

HINT: It's the first part of your statement that is correct

Would love to know what percentage of NHS front line staff, doctors and nurses are migrants.

I would imagine it is quite high.

    Edit: Just looked it up.

265,000/20% while the UK's migrant cohort makes up 14.8% of the overall population. So they are indeed over represented.

Thank God for the migrants keeping the NHS afloat, I say.

There's no penalty for the NHS ****ing you about, unfortunately. Most of the time it feels like they'd rather you just went away and sorted it yourself or died.

You should get a case number and the case can't be marked as complete until you as the patient have agreed to it. If you haven't been seen within a certain timeframe then you would be entitled to go private at your GP or trust's expense.

10 years ago today since my heart attack.
In and out with a stent fitted in four days.
God bless the NHS, I say. Horrifically underfunded and understaffed, but they were brilliant for me.
