Anyone going to the celebrations event down the ground later?

Interesting that they've made it ticket only but also mentioned that all the surrounding roads are closed...

I'm still amazed we won the play offs TBH. I just didn't see it coming. Martin deserves so much credit for getting everyone in the right mindset for them and then getting his tactics right. Whatever happens next season he will have my eternal gratitude for giving all of us yesterday.

Tactics through out play offs were spot on. Hopefully that is a sign that he can be more flexible and isn't so stubborn he refuses to adjust based on opposition/curcumstance.

The closer to the game it got, the more I felt we would win by hook or crook. Still, can’t quite believe it this morning though!

Agreed. We were absolutely solid yesterday and looked class on the break. Everyone worked so hard.

    Couldn’t ask for anymore.

Just finished re-watching the game on tv, it was great to see the Leibherrs still with the club 15 years after Markus saved us.

And from the way Dragan Solak celebrated with the players after he is clearly invested from more than just a financial aspect too. SR reign has been very mixed but its hard to argue that we aren't in a far better state now then we were under Gao - both on and off the pitch.

Agree and Macca was a commanding figure in his box. Some of the distances on his punches, really relieved the pressure.

Earnt his wages in the last few games, top bloke

The ticketing is for control purposes not to make a fast buck as some are implying.

Yes SR should take a lot of credit (sorry Lincoln)

Am not saying they haven't made mistakes but they are putting them right

Saw some Goztepe fans walking away from Wembley after the game with Saint shirts on and Goztepe/Saints scarfs. Nice to see!

When I come to pick my MOTM after a game, I usually base it on the 90 minutes as a whole. But yesterday, Bednarek was so outstanding in the second half, that I just had to give it to him.

That’s always been the advantage of McCarthy to me, by far the most commanding in the box of our keepers since Boruc, undone slightly by being fairly error prone, but then I can’t remember the last time we had a keeper that wasn’t.

You would probably have to go as far back as Niemi.

It is better to be on the up than on the way down. Right now we are on the up. Momentum in sport is so important. Inertia killed us in our premier league years.

****ing hell lads. We're Premier league :1980_boogie_down:

I cannot believe how nervously sickening yet utterly utterly mental and brilliant the last 2 games have been. The absolute pandemonium at St Mary’s feels like a year ago, and then to have that sort of atmosphere at Wembley yesterday is something I'll never forget. Two of the best games in our history in under 10 days is mind blowing. The smell of those red smoke grenades and the Joe Aribo song will be in my head forever, and holding Mini Lincolns hand (although he's far too cool for that) while walking along Wembley way is a locked in core memory for me now :emoticon-0106-cryin

I cannot believe how hard the team worked for this. Simply brilliant from Russ and the lads. ****ing hell.
