OK Everybody. We need to compile a list between us of new prospective owners of Portsmouth Football Club.

They must have a number of attributes that have been sadly missing from previous encumbants- 3 which spring to mind straight away are-

    1. HONESTY
    2. MONEY
    3. HEART

Is there anyone, preferably in the western hemisphere that we can turn to that might consider us worth saving?

Now what is that Taxi driver's 'phone number ? You know, the one that knows Matt Le Tissier, and lives with his Mum & Dad.

Didn't he have a couple of bob (literally) ?

Seriously though, a tall order - he would have to be slightly mad, wouldn't he ? Now, about that Taxi driver.........<laugh>

In today,s economic climate I think that will prove to be a tough task, but you can only hope.
We at Southampton are lucky beyond belief but I do not think there are too many Marcus Lieberr,s out there.
I truly wish you the best of luck

RLGB, without looking him up, who the hell is Michael Fielka ??

There are many millionaires in the States. There are also at least 3 Portsmouth's out there as far as I'm aware. Could there be a special person with 'old country' connections we might go writing a letter of 'beggary' to ? Have I just christened a new word?? <laugh>

Another attribute that could be added to your list, is that any new owner actually exists.

  10. The owner ideally needs to be:

    Real
    Alive
    Solvent
    Squeaky clean record

Think there is more chance of Santa Claus visiting Fratton Park <whistle>

Rumour has it he's coming early this month to spread good cheer amongst the Fratton faithful. <whistle> He did it once before and arrived on the pitch with 10 minutes to go. The referee stopped play at 0-1 down whilst Santa was 'ejected' then in added time up popped Alan Biley to bag a brace and win the game.

Who says there's no such person as Santa Claus ?

I remember that December day well FFD - soaked to the skin, pi**ed as a fa*t and happy as Larry. Those were the days, when you just turned up at the park from the pub, payed at the turnstile, watched the game and went home and got on with life rather than drive yourself to despair trawling the internet clutching at straws like we do now.

<laugh> There are some familiar faces amongst that lot SST. I'm sure I've seen top centre sitting in the directors box in the past. Thought it was Ali Al Faraj's brother.. <doh>

You have to ask, why would any legitimate businessman buy Pompey when there are a number of other English clubs that offer more value for money? You should question the motives of anyone who would overlook the other clubs and buy Pompey, hence why you have had a succession of crooks owning the club since 1999. Only a crook would want to by the discards of another crook. You are caught in a catch 22 situation and possibly an endless loop of dodgy owners.

A reason why a potential billionaire may have an interest in Portsmouth is because they might want to build something and make a difference. A billionaire would be able to make a much greater change at Portsmouth than they would for Man U. Except it seems most businessmen want the ready-made product. It's the same with players who often seem to want to join a team that's already playing the Champions League rather than helping to get their team into the Champions League.
