Is he still around? Gone on holiday? Does he attend any matches? Any feedback from Wasps?

No word from him at all. Why hasn't some journalist tracked him down and extracted some kind of statement from him? I think it's disgusting that he is not holding, nor being invited to, interviews about the current situation and where the future lies.

I think Hayes and Uxbridge are in The Evo-Stik League Southern - Division One Central but Hounslow Town seems to have died. Hounslow Wanderers are in the famous Cherry Red Books Middlesex County Football League.

We learn so much on this forum.

More than we learn about Steve Hayes. I've emailed WWFC to enquire about him.

I don't get it. You want Hayes to go. Wycombe enter administration. Do you really want that? Every club below the premiership have terrible debts and are only being kept afloat by benefactors. So who is Wycombe's next benefactor willing to spend his personal fortune on a lower division club? Where's the queue? As for the Wycombe Trust - how much money are they going to pump in??

So get real. Hayes is going to get nothing back from keeping Wycombe out of the hands of the administrators so we should be thankful for that. Not spending the limited amount of money available wisely, well thats a bigger issue - so are the Wycombe Trust going to shell out 6 figure sums on ineffective strikers then say to the manager - thanks? I don't think so.

BlueBlowBlue - we don't have a go at Hayes on here just for the sake of it. Check out what he has done (hostile takeover) and tried to do (ridiculous stadium plan) to our club and how damaging it has been. We are approx £10m in debt which is almost entirely run up by him in the name of Wycombe Wanderers since he came on board. If it was his 'personal fortune' he had used then that would be fine. But it is not.

BlueBlowBlue, with all due respect my friend you are talking absolute ****e.

Hayes' funding is in the form of loan notes. Those loan notes are going to be have to paid back at some point. The horse has already bolted so to speak. He has NOT pumped any money into this club, he has lent us money - presumably at ridiculous interest rates - so you could argue he's actually making money out of us. Add to that the thinly veiled disguise to use WWFC as a stepping stone to gain control of London Wasps and his half baked crack pot idea of building a gigantic stadium that would never be filled in a part of town where no one wanted it (when we already have one of the best facilities in the lower leagues), and I think this demonstrates the man is quite possibly mad. Look at what's happened at Darlington - a small club with a v rich benefactor who built a very silly stadium with some dumb view that the club would become massive. Where are they now. We are in similar positions - except it could be worse because the Darlington benefactor actually loved the club and, although his decisions were somewhat odd, he did it with best intentions. Steve Hayes wants to make money.

I don't really know or care about other clubs' finances. What I do know is that since Hayes took over the ownership of this club, the performances, attendance and morale is going down down down. If he decides to walk away tomorrow, he could ask for his money back and our club will be dead.

The only possible way out of this mess is for Hayes to do the honourable thing and **** off, write off the loan notes and put it into the hands of the trust. It may mean we drop a division or two and are skint, but at least the club will be on an even keel and can build again. We are currently floating on a big bubble that's slowly deflating. Not healthy.

We should never have voted him in, that was a mistake of supporters. However they weren't to know. The man is a criminal.

Crikey – so you really want to watch WWFC play in the conference?? You must have cheered when the 6th goal went in……unbelievable. Personally, I want to watch League 1 football or even better (but Championship maybe a stretch too far) so anyone who is willing to back this club, gets my vote.

Re “where are the benefactors queuing up to invest in Wycombe” – here’s a reality check (all numbers taken from WWFC Ltd last published accounts when we were relegated from 1 to 2)

    Income: 4.9m
    Costs: 6.8m

    Loss: 1.2m

Who on earth is going to buy into a business like this?? Yes, there is a loan covered by a mortgage on the land to cover this loss – and I guess, Hayes arranged this through his old loans.uk business. But who else would lend money to a business like this???

As to a crime being committed. Try this:-

    Costs Wages & Salaries: 3.9m
No staff: 60 players, 43 Admin, 5 Directors

At a conservative estimate, 3m is spent on players wages. That is 61% of Income. Next year, it has to be less than 55% with the new rules coming in. So think of all the dead wood we brought in during the close season and the money wasted. Who is responsible?

Next year, we either have to off load some of these 60 players (and who are they by the way?) and/or they take a large drop in wages. (I am assuming that income won’t increase, but is likely to fall from the 5,500 average achieved in 2009/10).

So what is going to attract a new player to sign for Wycombe because by god, we need them. The facilities – YES, the wage – NO, the manager????????

For me, I want to see League 1 football at Adams Park. This year is tough. Next year will be tougher. All the 14 teams in League 1 with average attendances of less than 5,000 are in a similar boat. Those that do well…..will have the best managers. Simple as that.

I'm probably being thick here and missing something but if income is 4.9m and costs are 6.8m, why isn't that a loss of 1.9m?

after following the blues home and away for the last 25 years i find blue blows comments farcical, steve hayes is a shark and has bled our club dry,his promise of championship football within 5 years was laughable at the time and seems ludicrous now,as jock says he should give the club back to the fans for free and fcuk off.his loan notes are not wanted and neither is he at adams park.i dont want to see us in the conference and neither does anyone else on here but i would still go and support us even if that happened but i pray that day never comes.i totally agree the club is rotten from the top down and that is due to hayes and his alienation of the supporters and the way he runs or rather doesnt run our club the sooner he goes the better.blue blow dont try and patronise us fans on here because we all care about our club and want the best for it ,i suggest you take your blinkers off open your eyes and see whats happening to our club then hopefully you will take the same view as the rest of us and realise steve hayes is the bad apple in our orchard.<cheers>

    Hi BBB,
Thanks for your comments. I agree entirely and applaud your common sense approach to the matter.
I share your concerns about the alternatives for our club.
    Thanks

BBB I think this hits the nail on the head. I really want to watch WWFC play whatever league they're in. I think you want to watch League 1 football or even better. I think MK will be League 1/Championship next season so go and watch them if that's the most important thing to you.

You also suggest that no one is going to want to buy into a loss-making business. So do you think that all of the other clubs in the league are profit-making? People buy into them.
