    for those who missed it: some key points....

    * rovers did not approach burton for pesch. rovers received an application from pesch's agent for the rovers job. higgs mentioned all applications received that didnt have a cv with it, rovers would contact those clubs asking for a cv and speak to the references/chairmans the same time. higgs wanted this info with each application received to make it easier when selecting a shortlist to interview. higgs had to contact burton and explain we recieved and application from pesch and wants to speak to references and get a copy of his cv as 1 wasnt with his application. burton provided the info and made pesch aware of this and then pesch withdrew his application after apparently speaking to his wife. again higgs confirmed pesch approached rovers for the job not us approach burton to take pesch.

    * discussions with SOD made it evident that him and club wouldnt be able to agree terms.

    * there has been no contact/dialogue from ince.

    * johnson was never considered.

    * curle was going to be watching the game and is on the shortlist of 4 managers. however higgs didnt want to name the others as it wouldnt be fair. he only named curle as twentyman directly asked him about curle.

    * should hopefully have a manager wednesday/thursday.

    * twentyman asked about campbell if he was still here would he get the job. higgs said he wouldnt put him ahead of north for the caretaker role and confirmed he wouldnt of give cams the job permanently either.

    * higgs said he hasnt been on holiday to italy. he lives in italy on average 1 week a month as he has other businesses out there. he was very busy with the stadium and sorting new manager while out there.

    he seems very cheesed off at this point.

    * he also said he wont stand down from chairman unless there was someone within or outside the club who he felt was the right person for the club.

    * he said he feels the pain us fans are going through. he is a fan too. he hopes to get the next manager right and get things sorted on the pitch to get the fans back and happy.

    * he thought the communication from him to the fans was good enough. he said he cant be available 24/7.

    * twentyman asked would the new manager be able to bring in his own staff. higgs said that is a normal thing a new manager would do. he would be happy to discuuss it with the new manager. some managers dont always bring their own staff.

    * higgs confirmed there will be money available for the new manager. kuffour and cams have gone so thats a good amount of free wages that can be used (meaning free transfers) and also if any of the loans we have finish, thats more available wages.

    a lot of this is now on the OS however not all of what he said on the radio is on the OS so i have added what i can.

    Thanks Captain, I missed Higgs interview. Shortlist of 4 eh. roll on Wednesday. We didn't manage a shot on target yesterday. However, on a good note, at least we kept a clean sheet even though we were outplayed. :bandit:

    I thought it was a good interview. Twentyman pushed as hard as was possible
    and a somewhat pi$$ed-off Higgs answered abruptly.
    Loved Twentyman's dig at the goalkeeping coach !

    Sounds like he treats Bristol Rovers like a part-time job,I wonder why his Italien businesses takes preference,tax avoidence maybe..? He could always live in Bristol,pay more attention to his UK business interests and live part-time in Italy..

    The man is a fraud,if a chairman could be judged on performance like 5 managers sacked,the man would be bounced out of the minimal,it's amazing to me how loyal to the cause the "gashead" fans are,the man is looking for someone with hungry eyes and is the cheapest option,what an approach.

    When asked if about Pesh's contact he said,he didn't progress his interest because his wife didn't like Bristol,his answer about Johnson was,he personally hadn't spoken to Johnson,implying someone else from BRFC might have done,no denial,he simply could not invest in SOD because the pot is empty,wasted by his previous choices,SOD rightly walked away.

    He is willing to listen to any sensible offers for the club to get it off his hands,what a future under this inept failure you boys in blue have got,a cheap option with hungry eyes,very little money to spend and a chairman looking for somebody to offload your club to.

    I genuinely hope I'm wrong but I think your struggles are going to continue.

    That's the reason for the comment but I'm just waiting,after all of the insults Steve lansdown had to endure,at least he continues to finance the club personally,that's the irony..

    Apart from that, the man,Higgs, has crawled out of his hole and exposed himself...

    Wiz, Of course he treats it like a part time job, because, like SL and all the others IT IS a part time job! How could your man stick in £30M (earned elsewhere) into a failing club other than as close to his heart hobby!

    49'nr,nothing personal,I want to see things change for you all,it was just the way that man came across on the radio,as though he was the heart and soul of your club and none of the failures was down to him..

    Not trying to fan any flames,just expressing a point of view..

    Saph, SL virtually owns BCFC and the debt,he is a genuine fan,heart and soul...

    These guys are genuine fans who put themselves in the firing line for all the flack that comes their way when things don't progress as the rest of us would wish. I have said before on this board that I think Higgs and co showed a lot of guts allowing Buckle to do something as revolutionary as happened,. The fact that the 'experiment' went pear shaped, because Buckles abilities were mis judged has disappointed everyone. Bear in mind that a lot of other well informed sports related folk thought we were on a winner speaks for its self. Also Higgs and SL are one club supporters, not like a chap called, is it Risdale, who jumps around the block and always seems to be about at the time of financial mayhem.
