    In my opinion, the Bundesliga is the closest you can get to the EPL on mainland Europe so hopefully it wont be too much of a step up for him.

    Don't care .. but seriously doubt Pardew was left out of the loop on this .. he was just setting expectations low to ensure we didn't have a repeat of every other trf window under Mr Ashley (think he deserves a touch of respect if this happens) <ok>
