I am convinced this lad has a great career in front of him. Good confidence in the squad that he thinks has more strength then West Ham. http://http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-14455013-detail/story.html?
Yes I agree , just read it. Also the write up on Vito , got to admit this squad are very much together . U T T
Love the sentiment! But there are more than a few strikers from other teams i'd add to our squad before making some of those claims Joe!
Temporarily flattered by the thread title They updated the article so the link changed - http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-14455013-detail/story.html?
I also liked these comments by Rosenior about Mannone: http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-14455015-detail/story.html I get the impression the defence are more confident about Vito than our other keepers and it will be a real coup for us if we can get him on a permanent at the end of the season. With Mannone as number 1 and Basso number 2 (Both permanent) we should have better goalkeeper cover than we've had for ages.
Unless you are cynical, it seems we have a very happy squad of players at the KC. That will only do us well this season. This is going to be a good season to be a Hull City fan.
also a fan of Dudge, he's one of these like Evans who goes abt his business quietly but effectively.. good tackler too and NB clearly likes him as he's been used as a sub last couple of games... will be first choice LB soon enough..
I just had a go on the BBC "football" page predictor last night and by the end of Feb had us in 3rd. I know this is really just a game but I enjoyed thinking that maybe we could get up there. I know it is stating the obvious but we just need to keep the points coming and hope a few results coming up go our way. I think we still have time to get into the top 2 but we must start with a result at Reading. Looking at the squad I think it must be better then when we last went up and it must be a good thing when all the ex Man U boys play together because they have been playing together for years which must help.
Big Important game Yes, but to call it a massive game is a tad over the top, imo. The good thing about saturday is that Reading are weaker than last season and City are much stronger. I also like what JD said on Monday in the OSC night in Cottingham. JD said that the boys go into every game now expecting to win. That will do for me. UTT
Mannone is class and we need to get him signed up as soon as we can do a deal. Have started using Twitter to see players thoughts and Dudgeon comes over very well as does Cameron
It's rude to change usernames! Anyway, I'd agree with Dudgeon about our squad. Look at the bench lately; Simpson, Olifinjana, Garcia, Adebola all can't make the bench and King joining will mean one other can't make the bench next week. How many teams have so many quality players not making the 16? On top of that, every team we've played we have dominated the game. The only game you could say we've been outplayed is Leeds away, but even then we made several chances and with a better striker we'd probably have got something. However, as we keep saying, it's the strikers. These games where we create hundreds of chances and don't score, they aren't off days any more, they have become the norm. I don't see how it is going to change unless we sign a better striker (unless King is that man?) I'm absolutely convinced that the form of our striker(s) will decide whether we go up or not this year.
