It is interesting to see today's reports about these two bright stars;I know most of us don't believe 80% of what is churned out by journos but they say United aren't happy about Danny wanting £60 K per week and that Sturridge is pissed off because he isn't been used as a Centre Forward. I would love to see us put a loan bid for either of these lads-or better still try to buy Danny. Money may be a sticking point but Danny on £50-60K is worth a shout-I imagine Jordan and Carroll are both on more than that and neither are better players than Welbeck or Sturridge.
Saw this too but I don't think we would pay £60k a week to Wellbeck to be honest, and unlikely Sturridge would be cheap either. But, as with most things in life, you generally get what you pay for* Carroll and Torres not included obviously!
Bit odd if they don't give Welbeck £60k per week imo. I mean this is likely to be a long term contract, and Welbeck should get better and better over the coming years, so if he becomes one of the top strikers in the league, he may feel like he's being underpaid compared to some. I would have thought that Man Utd would have wanted to be a little more competitive to keep a top talent.
Mmmmmm no. If you guys want to turn a perfectly good thread on your own forum into a slanging match for no reason, let's go for it. I don't mind.
Football players in general are a bunch of greedy bastards FFS 45k a week most people dont make that in a year some dont make it in 2 years. 99% of it has to do with the agents they are all a bunch of ****s & they want ther 10-15%. If i was a football player say the same as Welbeck i would not want an agent why do i need some ****er to tell me what is good for me. A little bit sence tells you 45k a week is a **** load of money & if you a smart with it at his age 1 x 5 year deals on 45k a week gets you about about 12m if you cant live on that for 5 years your a ****in idiot.
Commachio, not sure if I speak for others but I would rather have Chappaz on here talking about football than you slagging him off just because who he supports. It is boring now mate. Grow up.
You don't speak for others. If there was so humility involved on Chappaz part you may have been, but it's hard to have him around when he knows more about our club and football in general than we do.
Is there something here that doesn't meet the eye? Man. U. can easily afford £60,000 a week for Welbeck, and the way he's been playing I would have thought they'd be glad to. What else is involved here?
There's a sense of irony that you make this point when I've made a post on a thread about Danny Welbeck, that Manchester United player.
