Jaroslaw Fojut is trying to orchestrate a move to Celtic this month rather than wait until the summer.

Jelavic has issued a come and get me plea to West Ham. This comes after Kenny Dalglish insisted that he has no interest in taking the forward to Liverpool.

Derek McInnes wants to take Kris Boyd to Bristol City.

Estonian defender Enar Jaagar has headed home without signing a contract with Rangers. South African defender Siboniso Gaxa has been earmarked as an alternative.

New Celtic signing Rabiu Ibrahim could make his Hoops debut in the League Cup semi-final against Falkirk on Sunday.

Even Keith Jackson and the Daily Record are describing the situation as a "farce".

That shows you just how serious it is!

You can't boast about a 15 million pound warchest if you go and spend it all...

I honestly dont think celtic will buy anyone in this window , unless its someone of exceptional value .

Personaly i would love to see the spanish boy sign ( Jorge Molina) but realise its all just filling up the papers talk ...but he's a very good shout .

The boy Molina is a decent big lump of a centre forward. I've not seen him score lots of goals but he's always 100% committed and can put himself about. He's not got a bad scoring record in Spain, just decidedly average.

We've actually signed three players: Lustig, Fojut and Rabiu. But I agree, a decent CF would be good. What we're looking for is a better, more mobile version of Murphy who can score goals. Not easy to find though and rarely cheap.

Unless Lustig can play at centre back then i cant see him making many appearances , how many right backs does one club need
    Cha
    Matthews
    Wilson
    Juarez
    Lustig

its clear..... we need at least one other right back if were going to win this league!!!

I think the signing of Lustig might be a sign that Matthews will be off before long :( - Wilson's always injured (much as I love him), Juarez is away and Cha will never be a starter.

Lustig can play at CB but he played RB for Sweden last time I saw them.

    He could be useful <ok>

I don't know where the story came from that Lustig can play CB. He might have played there a couple of times in the past due to injury to others but he's no CB. He's an attacking RB in the mould of Izzy.

    He's 6ft 3in <ok>

He's played at Centre Half for Rosenborg and most articles about him when he signed said that he could play at CB or RB.

In fairness, the following quote from Mjallby would seem to suggest that he's being thought of primarily as a full back

    Bib

I was just going by a quote from the player himself shortly after he signed. He sees himself as an attacking right back.

Anyway, it's not worth arguing over. If he can do a job at CB then all the better.

    I wisnae arguing.

I've only seen him play once and that was for Sweden at RB - he looked promising <ok>

I've said a few times, he's never a CB in a month of Sundays. Maybe a RM at a push, in the same way we can play Cha there if we are struggling, but that's about it.

Being fair though if you'd asked most Celtic fans at the start of last season if they saw Chuck Mulgrew putting in some great performances as a CB they'd have laughed at you.

I think it is bending the truth to say that we have Juarez as a right back. Hehasn't featured on the team for at least 15 months and surely is not regarded as a likely starter for Celtic now. Not only is he an unlikely right back, he is egually unlikely as a right sided midfield player, where he has also played/not played for the last 15 months. I seem to think that Cha and Mark Wilson are both out of contract soon and if they two left we rally would only have two right backs, down to the bare bones.

I would be far more worried if we did not have any right backs, or only one right back but it seems to me that N.L. and the board can do no right, they either don't have a strong squad or else when they do they are also wrong.

But he had spent most of his days in the reserves and youths playing CB, as the likes of Ryan Conroy was our left back at the time. Lustig was originally a CM, then RM, then RB.

    <ok>

Think they both are out of contract next summer.

Wilson has played in the centre & on the left before & Matthews can play left too so if we are left with them all in the summer we have more than enough cover across the back - though I expect one of Cha or Wilson to go at least, along with O' Dea & maybe big Dan
