Is it worth spending £7m plus on a centre back now we have Nedum? He can partner Ferdinand. I am thinking now id rather see us get a class midfielder in at that price? Or towards a striker.

We would have to make this a Qpr bank holiday if this happens!

Samba is one of the best in the Prem, plus he's the scariest looking SOB going. With him and the Tank in the same team most strikers wont want to leave the dressing room.

Not sure I like his tone now. Then again, looking at his past, he doesn't seem to be unloyal.

I think the key to this is the fact he signed a new contract on the promises made by Venky's. Then again, I seem to remember when they took over they said something about Champions League football and were giving Allardyce £5 million to achieve that, the alarm bells should've been ringing with that statement...

Blackburn are in talks with a new RB. If that goes through, I think we will get Samba.

They promised investment in the team so hed sign a a new contract, he signed it but they lied. I dont blame him for leaving but theyve let the whole situation get out of hand now. Hes probably mega pissed off that weve just signed 2 defenders and hes still stuck there.

Evident from day one he was desperate leave. By keeping him, they have not only weakened the team but left themselves short on cash to rebuild. Handled so poorly. Kean wants to look like the hero but I think it's way too late for that.

It's not Kean's fault, he can only say what they're telling him. I really feel sorry for him but Barclays pull the plug on deadline day and the firesale will begin...

Blackburn would be unwise to keep him now - he's fought hard for the club and will make them good profit on his sale - but discontent can spread (look at what happened to Warnock).

But I still think Blackburn will try to sell to anyone but us - which will test Samba's resolve if, say, Spurs come in for him seriously

According SSN we are favourite to sign Samba.

If this is true, I feel he (and a solid striker) would be the missing pieces of the puzzle.
An absolute beast of a man......Shi*tu of 7 years ago, but prem class. I think Ferdinand could see himself on the bench perhaps.

Just got my tickets for the game tomorrow.........gonna be buzzing all day!!

The ear is firmly to the ground........

I can't wait till this is all over. The speculation is really getting out of hand. We're favourites to sign 15 players at the moment!
