Top Story Almeida an option for Sunderland 06:30 PM 30 January, 2012 Hugo Almeida has emerged as a potential option for Sunderland Football Club. Martin O’Neill is determined to boost his attacking options before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, and he has already been linked with Bolton Wanderers star Kevin Davies. And now the Sunderland Echo claims the Black Cats manager also has an interest in Portugal international Almeida, who is currently under contract at Besiktas. It is believed O’Neill wants to take the 27-year-old on an initial loan deal for the rest of the season, but the Turkish side may instead look for a permanent transfer for around £3million.
According to SSN Roman Pavlychenko has had a bust up with Kevin Bond regarding lack of first team opportunity. Is he worth a punt?
I'm gutted we aren't going for Djibril Cisse, he's got everything we haven't got with our strikers, pace, goals, flair, flamboyancy and he's got the quality to back up his ego... Bendnter take note.
Just seen Kevin Davies buying 2 bottles of Vodka and 4 packets of Paracetemol. Must have just found out he is moving to Sunderland..
Bridge definite. [h=3]Sotirios Kirgiakos imminent, fees agreed between clubs it seems.[/h] Hopefully Davies next.
From the mouth of JImbo, one of my best pals and a lifelong Liverpool fan via WhatsApp... 'Kyriakos, any cop?' 'I rated him, good in the tackle, always had a go. No pace, good in the air, was good back up for us...' Mixed.
Better arsewipes than you have tried to get on my nerves and failed. You repeating sad old jokes like the pussy you are, is just massive fail.
OK, we have needed a proper/back up LB for ages, and with all the injuries and likely jail time we need a back CcB, so that is those boxes ticked. The hardest spots to fill are strikers IMHO that is what we need right now, come on SNQ and MoN, you can sort one out you know it makes sense
Like I say MM as cover I can't see a problem short term. The main thing I remember about him was his heading ability, could be useful. Like your mate says he was pretty good in the tackle too.
