I read last night that Tevez could, under FIFA rules, force his contract to be nullified if he players fewer than 10% of games this season. Hope that does happen, as that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
I have only seen a handfull of games with Marvin playing but must say I was not impressed. I think we have got a good fee of 3.2 million. Southampton Away, Pompy Away, Bristol Rovers Away, Pompy Home, Spurs Home and TV Games cant say that I would have paid £500,000 on those performances but lots of Hornets say on his day an excellent player. He's young and I hope he plays well at Bolton and wish him luck but feel the Hornets will be better off with giving a run in the team to Garner and investing in another striker in the mould of Darius Henderson or even Tommy Smith coming back. Lets get the stand built and move forward. If the money purely goes on players like Iwelluumoo what a waste. What an opportunity for Bas to finish part of the ground and still have a reasonable team to escape relegation. Time will tell. Come on You Yellows.
Hmm: DAILY STAR Marvin Sordell claimed it took him a matter of seconds to ditch a move to Cardiff in favour of joining Bolton Where does this leave Baz's statement of events - not to mention Marvin's own claim that he didn't want to leave? Am glad it's all over really.
Its the Star so have to see what the quotes are but if Cardiff and Bolton were interested it would be so surprise to see Marvin choose the later. The WO suggested Bas pretty much put Mariappa and Sordell up for sale anyway...and I'd like to think the local paper wouldn't make rumours up if they weren't true.
I think the truth about MS's departure will never be known, so better to move on. For me MS is a player with huge potential, but whether he can realise that potential is up to him and now Bolton - he has no excuse that playing at a small town Championship club is holding him back.
