Barton's back! QPR midfielder launches ANOTHER Twitter rant, this time at Beckham By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 6:03 PM on 7th February 2012 Share Joey Barton may have escaped punishment for his Twitter rant about John Terry, but that hasn't stopped the QPR midfielder blasting David Beckham's new underwear range. Barton's tweets about Terry's charge for allegedly racially abusing Anton Ferdinand were judged to have been posted in 'bad taste' according to the Attorney General Dominic Grieve, and were not contemptuous. And the midfielder has wasted no time in taking aim at his new target. 'Not a****d': Joey Barton (left) accused brand Beckham of making having his H&M pants made in sweat shop Barton, 28, unleashed his Twitter fury after watching Beckham's H&M advert during the Super Bowl and wrote online: 'Not a****d if they’re Beckham’s or not. 9.99 pounds for a pair of gruds for H and M (sic) is an outrage.' He added: 'Do one, Becks. They cost about 1p to make in a sweat shop in the Third World, Is there no limit to what ‘Brand Beckham’ will endorse for a pound note?' Madman: Brand Beckham said Barton's tweet was inaccurate A spokesman for the LA Galaxy player insisted to the Daily Star that the range was being made 'under the strictest ethical guidelines.' He added anyone who accused Beckham of using child labour was a 'madman'. H&M has refused to say which factory in China they were using for the underwear range but the High Street chain said workers were given 'at least the statutory minimum wage.' Clear: Barton (right) will not face prosecution over his rant on Twitter about John Terry (left) Barton, who has more than a million Twitter followers has previously spoken about his right to free speech, through Twitter. He wrote: 'I will gladly go to jail for a month in the name of free speech. I have no problem with what I said. Denials: David Beckham's new range's affordability concerned Joey Barton 'Make me a martyr. What are they going to do, put everyone who exercises freedom of speech in jail? They'll (sic) be a revolution, if they try that.' Terry, who was stripped of the England captaincy last week, denies the charge and will stand trial in July.
No offence guys, but are we going to reproduce everything Mr Barton twats on this site? His pronouncements are an irrelevance at best, surely?
If the lowlife Barton was a fraction of the professional that Beckham is we'd all be better off. Am hoping we can be rid of this idiot by next season, wherever we end up!
£9.99 for a pair of gruds is not an outrage. £40,000+ a week for tosser who can't pass the ball properly is a REAL outrage.
hughes should ban barton from twitter. You guys need a strong team ethic at the moment, not ego driven self promotion on twitter. Football contracts already acknowledge that players are paid to not just play football but be ambassadors of their club. I think for what hes paid, barton is currently not giving you a good moneys worth in that respect. Good luck for the blackburn game!
Well said pretty much everyone above. Particularly the request not to regurgitate everything this moron tweets.
cant someone just buythis idiot an Xbox or something...better still ...help him go out and get some mates ....? Serious cock-head....!!

If he carries on the way he's going, someone will sue him for defamation and that will be a massive distraction from what the club's trying to do. The guy's a loose canon.
He shouldn't. Best thing Spunky can do right now is demote him. Throw the armband to Keiron Dyer for all I care.
