If capello goes over the Terry fiasco who will we get. Surely even if he gets off it can't be Redknapp so who? Hodgson, Pearce or give a younger guy a decent run at it. As long as it's not Nigel!

Stuart Pearce will be the next England manager. Place your bets now, it's like buying money. Harry would be the only other runner but he's out now, the FA want someone who'll be nice and compliant for them. Pearce has shown he knows how to play the game with them so, halas, it's done.

Agree about Pearce..he's very much in with the FA and there's not much competition, especially as not everyone would take the poisoned chalice.

Now the brown envelope and foreign bank account man has got off, he must be in line. I am sure the FA accept brown envelopes, by post of course.

Please dont let it be Pearce, we just need someone to fire them up and get abit of pride and fight back into them someone like Redknap or Warnock for me.

Redknap would be the best choice, but I just don't think the FA would touch him at this point. Pearce is a nice, safe uninspiring choice.

Stuart Pearce wouldn't be a bad choice at all in my opinion. A comparatively low-profile manager might just be the man to instil a bit of team spirit into the England team in time for the next World Cup. And no-one who saw his reaction after scoring that penalty in the shoot-out against Spain in Euro 96 would doubt his commitment to the England cause. He might lack a bit of tactical nous but he can have advisors to help with that, his main job should be on the motivation side.

Unfortunatley the Crook will be manager and Michael Dawson will end up as England captain.
Don't make any plans for watching games in Brazil!

Will be Pearce, Redknapp has an outside chance but not particularly high imo. Tbh though I couldn't really care less, I will watch England in the Euro's/World Cup, be happy when they score/win a game/maybe win the tournament, but won't be bothered if they go out as it is just a distraction from Saints for me.

    Redknapp's the man.

Pardew would be a good choice for France...

Pearce would be disastrous. Awful football, poor team selections and tactically inept. Quite frankly, I'm surprised he's still got that U21s job.

Great Capello was **** anyways, we need a manager that has the backbone to bring in the new and get rid of the old. He didn't so goodbye, won't be missed.

Agreed. I wonder if that opens the door for one Henry J. Redknapp...
