Interesting thought on Hodgson. More experience of European footy. But could we really put up with his accent at interviews. At least Harry's is easier on the ear!!! Interesting thought for the day. There are some who reckon West HAM won the world cup in '66 & to a degree they have a point. If Harry became England Manager & we won the Euros this year, would the hammers again be able to claim a win? If Parker were made captain, Lampard & Terry were in the team with Ferdinand & Joe Cole, they might just have a point. But what if Milner, Lennon, Delph, & Howson made the Euro, could we then claim that it was us wo' won it?

It doesnt sell papers in this country though! Most other nations do back there manager though & I think it will take an English manager to really know what there up against. Capello & Eriksson didnt have a clue what they were signing up for.

Agreed. Hes not a bad manager at any level & has managed all over the world. Loved the way he was smashing his head of the dug out at the west brom game! That says to me he has worked with better players before <laugh>

Redknapp will struggle. He will not be able to buy a team this time around, but will be stuck with a bunch of overpaid prima donnas who are more concerned with their own self importance and have no pride in wearing the three lions. The media want Melty Face and so he will probably get it, mess it up and then what? For me it should be Redfearn for England!!

Bucks

Its about time we all realised we aren't going to win a thing! then we will stop getting disappointed, other countries have better catchments and players.

Interesting one mate. Redknapp has always had the abilty to work with egos. He has managed to keep hold of modric & pav (fudge knows how to spell his name) when they both wanted away & there getting about there business with no complaints.

One thing is for sure, Crouch isnt going to get a recall <laugh>

Agreed. But if 11 players are playing for there shirt & country like a lot of the african teams do, we could cause a few upsets. Theres just no urgency or pride about pulling on the 3 lions shirt anymore which is a real shame.

Lets hope for a new era, but its been stale for a while supporting England.

Bucks, remember those lads are playing for their wages at their clubs, different mentality at England. Also, at Spurs HR is not faced with a squad of arrogant Eng players, he has a lot of foreigners who have a more respectful attitude. Kissa, other countries have a lot of their good young talent getting the chance to play in their top divisions unlike the overpaid, flooded by foreigners Prem.

Could have, but he wanted out for two years and Redknapp kept him sweet as a bit part player. Then again, he gave him the Leeds cup game which was probably all the incentive he needed <ok>

One thing is fur sure, 'arry will have no trouble dealing with prima donnas if he got the England job. But if he took on the main job of working with Uncle Ken, would he cope? No, thought not. Best he takes the soft option of the England job then.

After his recent fun & games, me thinks he'd also have little difficulty handling our media. I'd actually like to see him take it on the the Euros & then at least consider leading us into the next WC whilst at the same time, training Pearce up as his natural successor.

All good points <ok>

Anyone’s going to struggle, so I guess the FA have to look for someone that can handle individuals as well as command a team & get there tactics right. Oh, and find someone mad enough to take the poisoned chalice!

From a Jocko perspective, I think Roy Keane should get the job! Can't think of anyone worse at the moment. Well, maybe Ince .....

Jock, bog off back to Jockland. Alternatively mate, RK would be a very interesting choice. Me thinks the FA heirachy would be
sh%tting themselves at the thought of a frank & open exchange of views with him if he did something they didn't like. Nothing more than they deserve really. C'est La Vie. Unlikely to happen

HR would probably be best to take over, he's like a godfather type of character to the criminal underworld. After all the England team is made up of druggies, thugs, racists (allegedly!) and serial shaggers. OOOps I forgot shooters!

Haha! The thought that I enjoyed entertaining was him punching out all of the FA board on the eve of the championships, then buggering off home. And do you know what? He'd probably get away with it, just like he did when he let Eire down. What a polnker.
