Probably just another lazy journo writing the first thing that comes into his head.......but,at the pantomime that is Chelsea fc nothing surprises me anymore and we have the daft situation where we still have the owner buying players that the manager doesnt want(De-Bruyne to name just one)so who knows. For me,I have no confidence in AVB but understand he has inherited alot of ****e that needs clearing but we must at all costs maintain top 4 but not sure if he really is the man to do that,on the other hand there is only one rather special manager that I would like.

Capello, now there is a manager I wouldn't want!! I know he has good pedigree but it just seems all wrong in so many ways.

Should have got O'neill when we had the chance!! That guy deserves a big job and look what wonder (again) he is pulling at Sunderland.

Give AVB another season though even if we miss out on top 4. We have no devine right to finish there and the players are as much to blame as the manager for this year.

Capello couldn't manage the egos with England, and that I feel is our problem too. He would be one of the last managers I would want at Chelsea.

I have been very critical of AVB, and I find he wants us to play negative football, and usually get the subs wrong, but we need to give him time. I'm fed up of all the manager swaps. I do think he has "something about him" and I would hope we stick with him long enough to see it.

However, I would drop him in a second to bring back Jose.

Is it bad that i would never want Jose back? :(

Ranieri however.... Legend. Jose inherited his team which gave Jose his success imo.

AVB for me is going in the right direction. Luiz is an awesome player compared to what he was when he came (Is that down to AVB) and Mata...yummy you can look at the guys bought by him and see what direction we are going in? I feel the style of football he plays is not so much negative imo, more of the fact we have negative players in our squad still... the guys brought in by AVB are very forward thinking, quick and attacking. His Inherited players are slow, negative and un adventurous.

Cant wait for next season. LONG LIVE AVB!

I'd have Jose back to stop him going to a rival!!

As for Ranieri, lovely bloke but not tactically aware enough. That C/L semi in Monaco was shocking.

Agreed chels, not Ranieri. He was similar to Harry in terms of commanding respect and having a good eye for talent but not tactically astute enough to win titles and CL's.

Jose is the only man I'd take over AVB, as I've said previously!

    I Couldnt disagree more :(

In my short time on earth as a human and chelsea fan, the "Tinker Man" has been my fave manager, the spine of our team which won so much is pretty much his doing "Cech", "Terry", "Lampard". Every season we improved more and more.. I rate him higher then Jose, as since leaving Porto Jose has never achieved anything without spending ridiculous money... i would like to see if he could survivive with a "normal" kitty each season.

I might be blinkered though so if i am im sorry :p

He didn't spend ridiculous money at Inter. In fact he sold their best player then won the treble.

Money helps win titles, money + mourinho wins titles.

What a rubbish story. The press seem to link every manager who has lost their job with Chelsea. But this story is the most lazy of them all. I would like AVB to be given time to build his own Chelsea team. Capello is a definite no.

Capello !!!!!!! The bog mindless !!!! Our team is a shambles for one reason only. Our owner. He paid stupid money to hold on to greedy players, bought Shevchenko, past it, bought Torres, a total misfit who disrupts the whole team. He brought in and fired Mouhrino, Ranieri, the Brazillian clown, Avram Grant, Ancellotti, and I suspect, Butch Wilkins.
EVERYTHING he touches turns to garbage within a year. Even when Mouhrino and Ancelotti did well, his ego kicked in and he fired them because they wouldn't stand his interference. He must surely be the most useless judge of all things football in history. Players, managers, management, he screws it up time after time.
AVB is a long way from convincing me he is the answer, yet strangely, I have some faith in him. But only when the dross is gone and he "owns" the team ,can he be judged.
Sounds like the perfect time for the owner to stuff up again. Capello !!!!!! You couldn't make it up.

There's still a bit of passion down south Dave, more off the pitch than on it unfortunately. We're fruitcake material here at CFC, all mixed up.
We can implode when we're doing well, e.g. Mourhino, Wilkins, Ancellotti.
We can implode when were going bad, e.g. the Brazillian twat . We are the PL champion imploders.
