Don't say 'I'm right' like that is what you've been saying all along <doh>

Truth doesn't hurt kid, that was a logical response and it mirrors your other WUM like posts.
We know we've spent millions and know we've got a few ****e players, you only have to read some of the threads but 50% is down to the manager, he has to motivate(which he is incapable of doing) and he is the one who picks the teams (majority of his selections are poo).

watched the game, chelsea were dire. if there was a deserving winner, it wouldve been brum, but a draw was a fair result for 2 completely rubbish teams. chelsea will get mullered by napoli on this evidence, and will be lucky to finish 4th in the league.

I'd say 4th is the best you could realistically hope for given the strength of your squad compared to the mancs and Spurs.

Getting rid of managers too soon has been Chelsea's problem.

Give him time and money, let him have a mass clear out and bring in some quality.

If he still doesn't achieve, then you can boo him.

Until then, 4th and struggling against Championship teams in the FA cup is the best you can hope for.

Apart from the last bit, fair response. I think 4th will boil down to our game at the Emirates. Avb just needs to start games differently with a lot more pace, at the moment we hold the ball for ages without doing a thing, incredibly frustrating to watch.

From a neutrals' point of view i have to say i thought Chelsea were good in moments but awful for the majority of the game, i watch most matches when they're live on tv and this was definitely one of the poorest performances i've seen from Chelsea.

In my opinion though it doesn't look like your manager has the backing of the team ( obviously it's been reported in garbage newspapers that he don't have the backing but there was no real proof ), two things that alarmed me was A) Drogba giving a pep talk to the team, surely this is the managers job? and B) When lampard came on AVB appeared to want to talk to him to give him some instructions or something and lampard just gave a quick nod and then looked away and blanked him.

That appears to me he has lost a lot of the dressing room, but at the same time it's not surprising it's the old guard. The problem for Chelsea is though without one of Terry/Lampard/Drogba you don't seem to have a leader on the pitch so if you did get rid of them at the end of the season and keep the faith with AVB then i think you'll need to bring in a leader as you could lack this big-time as i don't see anyone else in your team that is as vocal as Terry/Lampard/Drogba.

Obviously i don't watch every game so i don't know if you do but do you have anyone that you think could be a proper leader apart from the three i've mentioned?

You looked lost in the first-half then Drogbas' pep talk seemed to get you up for it a bit more and motivate your team so you'd need a big presence/leader if you were to let him go in the summer.

I think you have a good enough team to get back to the top but there seems to be something missing, a creative midfielder? a motivator? a leader? another mata? I don't know but there is something missing from the jigsaw.

    Too long; didn't read.

Please try to use spaced paragraphs in future.

    Many thanks, Peter.

Agree with this. No leadership at all. That's when you see what JT brings to the team.

i suspect the chelsea manager has taken his team as far as he can. stand by for a change in management, please welcome mick mccarthy who has made it clear the old timers have had their day and expect a reduction of 22 in the playing squad.

a leaner fitter chelsea will emerge and there are a few vacancies for pensioners at chelsea hospital.

Roman-(who,lets face it is the only opinion that counts) is convinced ABV will turn things round. There are too many senior players underperforming at the moment which doesn't help. JT(inury/personal probs), Lamps( slowing and cant adapt), Cole(unfit and uncommitted) are but some of the reasons. However we not only have quality eager beaver youngsters coming through to take their places, but hopefully, quality selective purchases in the summer! Its then, we will hopefully see ABV come into his own and deliver the big prizes!
