Had we signed Kermo when this thread was posted? As I would obviously have selected him ....... ;)

Oddly enough I was looking through a load of the old threads like this one yesterday. I was looking in particular for one (which I found) which had questions such as '1st man of the match, 1st hattrick, 1st scapegoat etc.

Last summer truly was a glorious and exciting time to be a Charlton fan. In a way I'm sad that this one won't be quite as exciting, but naturally it would be silly to sign a new player every day considering how well our lads have done this year.

I tried to find that post, but didn't have any luck. I remember it well, think I had Alex Dyer down as scapegoat(?). And I completely echo your point about last season and us being linked to 10 players every day and seemingly signing someone every week. At least CP and Slater were transparent in telling us that last season was a one off and they are hoping to avoid situations like that again. It's nice to know we have a strong, settled squad and only a handful of additions are needed.

As much as I love Yann as a player and a man, the most important signing for me was Morrison - he was the lynchpin for the dead solid defence that gave us so many 1-0 wins this season.

Great thread to resurrect. Shows how much it changes during a season.

    1. Morrison - we havent had a defense for years
    2. Green
    3. 1st
    4. Yado Mambo/Chris Solly (breakthrough season at the 3rd time of asking?)
    5. Yes

can we make sure this thread is saved somewhere so we can praise the nostradamus among us/beat those who got it wildly wrong?

Umm?? I think I went for Morrison but I just can't (with my hand on my heart) say that he was above Kermit.

Wasn't Kermit second in the PoTY?

Solly, Kermo then Jackson(?). Morro had a shakey spell in the latter part, thats why I think Kermo/Solly was the right choice for POTY.
