In the absence of a match thread, a few lines will have to do! I know that the PL is our priority, but there is nothing like keeping the winning habit going. I expect Barnsley to put up a good fight, but we should have enough strength in depth to overcome them which is why I hope we field as many "Non 1st Team" players as possible. Lets hope for a win, with no injuries/bookings etc. Shrewsbury turned us over at this stage last season - lets hope we go a bit further this year. Swans to win 3-1
I was at Shrewsbury last year and it was our worst performance with a team of fringe players making the home side look like world beaters. Can see ML going with a fairly youthful line up, maybe leaving Ash at the back who likes to play every game. Can't see many if any of our unwanted players taking part as to risk injury would scupper any possible moves, not sure if Ki has received his international clearance yet, he might have to wait til the weekend.
Plenty of tickets still on sale - £15 adults and £7 for juniors. Be there or be square. Up the Jacks
Vorm .. Richards , Williams , Bartley , Davies .. Sinclair ( if he's still with us otherwise De Guzman in his place ) , Ki , Agustien , Routledge ... Lita & Moore
We should win this one. ML won't take it lightly in his first year in charge, 3-0 Swansea. I'll be there.
Wish I could be there. Ah well I am returning to Wales next month for good, so I'm hoping that we get through this round and get a home tie next round so I'll be able to go to a match.
You coming home, mate? I did the same 15 odd years ago from Sydney and haven't regretted it even though the move was forced on us due to an accident suffered by my wife out there which left her unable to work for a long time. As much as I loved our life in Oz, Swansea is a special place imo.
Well KJ, we are returning under tragic circumstances also. Our baby boy was due to be born 24th July but on the 18th he died. It's just too painful for us to stay here so we are packing up and coming back to Port Talbot to try to piece our life back together. I will miss Australia as it has a lot of good things here - cost not being one of them though.
Stereo, my wife and I lost a baby boy in similar circumstances as well some years ago, so I know what you are going through. It's devastating. My deepest and sincerest condolences to you and your wife and I hope you can make a fresh start back here in Wales.
Stereo, really saddened to hear of your loss. As you know, there's always a welcome in the hillsides,so take some solace from that. Good luck to you both.
