Good Afternoon People, hope you are all well <applause> to TopClass

Been a while since I was last on, but for today providing he doesn't find the ground too testing I like the look of Rackham Lerouge in the 310.

seems I should have followed prudent Ron and done the forecast. Second but beaten a good distance by the mare. Well done Ron (also heavy going now)

Well I was completely wrong about the winner but I did at least give a lovely place selection in PRET A THOU

Home Run could still be well ahead of the handicapper. ...Big handicap beckoning? ??

Venetia Williams has entered Katenko in the Cheltenham Gold Cup - has she gone quite mad?

    Kempton 4.00
    Missionaire 33-1 EW

This race is wde open and there are far worse 33-1 shots than this selection represents. Although Missionaire has been hurdling I do not think he has really taken to the game and will enjoy the flat of Kempton much better. He will be very fit, has a good draw and It is not beyond the imagination to see him running a much better race today off of a mark that has come down quite considerably. It's undoubtedly a hopeful selection rather than confident but worth a small each way.

Vaughan thinks Swnymor might be better suited by nice ground? The horse loves the mud, would be interesting in the triumph if it came up soft, im not saying he wont go on nicer ground, but it would have to be soft for him to have a chance of winning imo.

Jupiter Rex wins that by virtue of being slightly less crap than the rest of the field.

Some good shouts again today especially Toppy. My money went south in the first but as i predicted it would probably come last which it did. But me other two both won at 6/1 and 9/2 so not a bad day after all.

So news (for those that interested) from my day at my first point to point meeting in larkhill

Got there and found out it was an hour delayed <laugh> so had a walk around and took in the surroundings and the snobbery too lol <laugh> Was lining for a coffee and never guess who was behind me MR RWC so I had to turn round and congratulate him on Long Run and just had a chat with him for a minute or two. Must say was very nice guy! So 1st race got under way SWC had the 6/4 fav and came nowhere! lol 2nd, 3rd race very interesting, close finishes and quite a few pulled up and few fell but the ground was getting more and more churned up and sticky as the day carriend on 4th race SWC had the odds on fav , coming up to the last had my ticket ready to collect then booom! the horse jumped terribly and and the horse did a somersault along with SWC. 5th and 6th race again very close competitvie finishes! 7th race - best race on the card with another SWC horse - 2nd in the foxhunters at aintree last april Roulez Cool went off the 6/4 other horses in the race - Offshore Account, Sybarite & Faasel. - final stages coming round the home bend SWC pulled Roulez cool out infront and really started asking questions of the horse the horse was responding, went over the last, the horse was getting tired but looked to have enought then out of knowhwere the formally trained Sybarite came home strongly and grasped it on the line right in front of Roulez Cools nose. Last race of the day- (my friends horse race- Mandalay Bay) Again SWC had a another favourite at very short odds. My friends horse was going well went down to the start early and and the race was off got round the 1st circuit no problem avoided the traffic at the 5th where 4 horses were all bought down. Going well then clobberd the 3rd last and went down both jockey (my friend) and horse got up fine! altho I did fear the worst after he went down as he must of winded him (the horse this is) he stayed on the floor for a couple of seconds but then got up and my friend caught him- but he is back in the field 100% just abit sore but anyway SWC didnt win again <laugh>. But spk to him after too got his autogrpah and like his father was very nice and talkative! Overall it was a very good day and thoroughly enjoyed my first p2p meeting and am going again to watch my friends horse in charing, kent on the 27th January.

Thanks for the update Wooly. Glad you had a good day and that your friend and horse are OK. Is this something you might be taking up yourself?
