    I have been reading how Pardew has gone quiet on this talk of us signing an international player this week? i then saw this

    Alan must have been pushing for info on signings in his 5 hour meeting the other day so Mike told him "Alan we are signing an international midfielder this week" No wonder Alan has gone quiet on the subject.

    Not being funny lads but the likes of Menez, Krancjar, Perrotti, Taarabt, Sturridge, N Zogbia, Bassong, Gervinho etc are never really going to happen because another club will be able to offer europe or at least better wages.
