Well that was under the previous owner Bassini who had no thought for anyone or anything but his own ego/wallet. The Pozzos and co will be more than happy to adhere to the rules - we accepted this embargo and the fact the FL wanted to restrict the loan system.
Sorry, not breaking my promise not to debate this issue with opposition fans as I am not debating this issue any longer with opposition fans. But this exchange deserves repeating on the Watford side. In case you are not aware the debate is continuing on the Leicester thread with the brain dead Proud_Fox blundering on with his un-informed arguments. Harrowhorn, take a bow for the following exchange: Harrowhorn: Some people are gonna have an aneurism when they find out about Anya, Ekstrand, Iriney and Ranegie... Proud Fox: who, who who and who? Harrowhorn: Well Anya you should know, little fella with an afro; collected Cassetti's clearance, threaded it through to Forestieri, who crossed it....here's Hogg....DEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!!!!!!
The nature of the 'punishment' was sufficient to ensure no more dodgy dealings were possible. Termed a Regulation 19 transfer embargo, it simply required that the FL had to ratify any and all transfer dealings with particular reference to the financial side of each. Anything dodgy spotted would simply mean that the transfer would not be approved. I would imagine that it goes without saying that, in the event that anything untoward tried by the club after the end of the embargo period was discovered, then the FL would not be so lenient.
LOL - Quality from Harrow! There is some utter drivel being posted on that thread though. TC(Lovely Geezer) and OriginalLambrettaMan (amongst others) are doing their best to stem the tide and improve the grammar whilst they're at it - to no avail!
Couldn't resist. The lack of brain power of some of the most prolific posters on the Leicester forum is eye-watering.
You'll be getting some rep from me when I'm able. I realised that the two main protagonists are a bit dim as early as Friday evening. I still insist that it is all down to the play off semi final defeat. Sad really.
Especially the fool that calls himself Andy Kings Crown Jewels - I wonder whose bollocks he'll name himself after when King leaves Leicester? Mind you, the way he keeps repeating his rubbish, he should be calling himself after a body part about three inches behind....
Original lambretta man has always been one of the most objective posters on this forum. TC's a decent WUM and usually makes me laugh but i have to say i never thought I'd see the day he stood up for us so stoically - he must really dislike Leicester
Really don't see what all the fuss is about. Watford haven't broken any rules, so what's the problem?* *Answer: jealousy.
We didn't break any rules last season either, didn't stop the moaners though. Pleased to see the storm seems to blown itself out now over on the LCFC site.
Is this not strange. When Cardiff City took so many Watford players and back room staff nobody got upset with them, ecxept us. Now we have brought in so many players who are not of the first team at one club a lot of people are unhappy.
I think that many people are beginning to see the advantages of having links of one sort or another with the larger foreign teams. Maybe this will give those who cannot see it some other team to have a go at. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...g-talks-Juventus-player-development-deal.html
Oh gawd OFH - a certain Mr Negative from Reading will be taking a Roman Bath and opening his veins any minute now....but seriously, if your average football fan had a bit more than 50 grammes of dog-turd for brains that might think this through a bit and see the advantages for their club. Can they honestly believe their is a queue of mega-rich owners prepared to spunk their hard earned on a English football club whose wage-bill is 120% of it's revenue? If Juve have that number of players on their books, it makes sense to move the better players over to England and get them exposed. Big advantage we have is Zola, certainly for the Italian players as they will settle more quickly. I am really loving all of this...
Hmm, it will be interesting to see how all of this pans out between Juventus and Reading. I can see it already, 5 years down the line, and we are all disappointed that we have to settle for Udinese and Granada, whilst the likes of Yeovil and Kidderminster Harriers share players with Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain (no disrespect to Yeovil or Kidderminster). The bit I like the most out of the above Daily Mail article is, "Watford were criticized last season for taking advantage of regulations".
