In light of Hull officially putting forward their bid to change their name to Hull Tigers, I have one question...

Would you rather be in the Championship as Leicester City, or in the Premiership as Leicester Foxes?

    Oooooh, good question.

Are we talking like just in the Premiership or actually competing near the top?

    Let's just say...

This season ends in promotion and we change to Foxes

    Or

This season ends in another painful playoff defeat, but we stay as City

I'd happily change to Leicester Foxes as long as the owners put substantial money into keeping us in the prem for a fair few years.

It could always be changed back anyway <ok>

I gotta go check out the Hull side to see if their going bat**** crazy!

EDIT: oh, they seem pretty prepared for it.

We may be **** at times, brilliant at others. Damn right frustrating most of the time but its our club

    We are Leicester City

I have supported them in the Premiership, Championship and League 1. And will always do so.

The owners can pretty much change anything they like aslong as it doesnt abondon the clubs heritage

We will always play in blue and be called Leicester City

If they wanted to change our name to Leicester Fosse then that would be different. I wouldnt be against that

Isn't the women's team called the Leicester Foxes?

On another note, is there any truth to the rumours that Leicester Tigers are planning on suing Hull if the name change goes ahead - brand recognition and all that jazz?

You cannot guarantee that you won't change the colour or be called Leicester City (not unless you personally bought the club). Even then somebody could change it when you sold up or you popped your clogs.

It when they do fans stand up to it.

Saying that Cardiff and you stood up to and its getting your nowhere

Our club has always been pretty well run and there has been nothing to suggest that will change under our current ownership

As i said if they owners wanted to change our name the only thing they could do that wouldnt piss the fans off is change it to Leicester Fosse

If they wanted to change us to red all they could do is either give us a red away kit or put Kasper in red

Protests do no good, if an owner wants to change the colours, the badge or the the name, its going to happen.

But with the 2 examples recently,
Cardiff change to Red, get promoted using Kims money.
Hull get promoted using Allams money, now he wants to change the name.

End of the day, both Chairman have took those clubs into the premier league, and they are not struggling to stay there.

Would i take a name change to be mid-table in the premier league? absolutely

Not really - we were called Leicester Fosse for a long while and played in black, brown and white before... http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Leicester_City/Leicester_City.htm

Leicester City have played in blue

Leicester Fosse played in that black kit with the blue slash plus that Fosse gold kit

Leicester Fosse is our heritage so as I said i wouldnt have a major problem if the owners wanted to call us Leicester Fosse

35 years we we´re called Leicester Fosse (1884-1919), we have been called Leicester City ever since, but having said that it woulnd´t be to hard for me personally to be called Fosse again (I used to have a fantasy football team called Leicester Fosse as well as my current name THE FOXES 1884, I quite liked it tbh)
I would vote to stay blue & white though or IF it had to change (life or death) then black with the blue sash (like our 125 years 2nd kit) Above all just leave it all how it is please.

How can you say you will always play in blue. Any owner can come in and change the colour as in Cardiff.
We are opposing the name change (it is has not been agreed by the FA yet and they are meeting with the fans). I cannot comment on Cardiff as I do not know if they are still fighting it.

If they ever change our name to 'foxes' I will personally go round to see Top and his Dad and with a pair of secateurs give them the opportunity to find out first hand whether a 'ladyboy' lifestyle is preferable (if not reversible)
