Wpl League Positions 2013-14

yay, i went above Al, it definitely helps when he doesn't predict

 

I have had no internet access at home as BT have let us down, they were supposed to connect our phone before Xmas but still we wait so as I sit here in Paris for the last time, wifey coming home for good tomorrow

I thought I would post my latest predictions, I don't mind you being on top H,

 

WPL League positions (After 22 rounds).

All change at the top with Yorkie storming into the lead ahead of Gordon and Fez. Only 23 points now between 4th and 10th place. Highest riser of the day was theghost whose 75 spirits him into 6th place - so the sound of his rattling chains could be disturbing for those above him. Some other high scores around with Frenchie on 67 and Yorkie on 63. Generally those eternal optimists who always tip Watford to win are suffering in the WPL this year. From our fixtures for next week (Jan. 25th) only 4 are remaining because of the FA Cup 4th round - so it is probably best to cancel the WPL for that week. Generally when we have Cup and League weekends then I will do both if we have at least 5 League fixtures, from the 5th round onwards I will do both.

No changes in the top 3 this week, with Yorkie extending his lead a little, although the other placings have shuffled around a little. Very close between 3rd and about 10th. Best scorer of the day was Frenchie with 85, followed by Saxet (67) and Yellotoyou with 63.

Thanks Cologne. At this rate, with Watford back to winning ways (?), they will soon pass my position in the league. Do you think I need a new coach? Crystal Ball? Had the Horns only scored 1 I think I may have benefitted by 50 points!?

 

Team GG beginning last third of season fade. Well it was nice while it lasted.

 

WPL League positions (After 24 rounds)

The tyranny which late unwanted equalizers can have on our league table ! Leading scorer of the day was Zen, whose 80 points rockets him into 3rd. Yorkie moving into a strong lead over Cologne (!!!!) in second. There were a couple of tips made on the Yeovil v Leeds match which I had to discount - we only have 10 fixtures on the WPL each week (although next week we have a mini round of only 5 because of the FA Cup). If in doubt fixtures are always on the future postings thread, (even though you may have to search for it on page 2)

WPL League positions (After 25 rounds)

The reduced fixture list produced a very quiet week on the WPL. Highest score of the day was 43 by Hackney Hornet. Very little change in our positions in the table, with the top 3 all managing to get the same weekly score. To answer any possible confusion on the scoring the initial 10 points for tipping was reduced to 5 just for this week.

A few banana skins around this week which caused generally low scoring. Highest scores of the day were by Akureyrar and NZ, with Fez also coming up well. Yorkie extended his lead even more, but, with about 9 (or 10) rounds left anything is still possible.
