Wenger in the press asking for a fair game, for a chance to play 11 v 11. Isn't that abit rich from a manager who has overseen 100 red cards since he took over the goons.

Win-win scenario for us. Everyone expects us to go out so if we do, meh, so what. If we win, then wow that would be awesome and a pleasant surprise... and Arsenal would rightly take their place as one of the top dogs in Europe.

But we won't win. We'll go out... finish 4th in the prem, then win the FA cup in a dour 1-0 win against Sheffield United.

Spurs meanwhile will win nothing and qualify for the Europa league. ;)

But hey, the power shift is on <smooch>

Yup... would be a very sad day indeed and really would signal the end for AW if that happened after spending £42m in the Summer. Think it's unlikely though.

No chance. This scenario would require either Spurs, Everton or Utd to catch you. Not gonna happen. Utd are still weak, Everton lack depth to get their early season form back and from the looks/sounds of it our dressing room has gone.

6 points and a game-in-hand gap ahead of 5th place means we have a bit of breathing space which seems to have appeared out of nowhere... we could get thrashed by Spurs, Chelsea and City and still come 4th so Spurs' loss to Chelsea was a bit of blessing and relieved a bit of pressure on us after our catastrophe at Stoke.

Disappointing that it seems to have come down to 'who'll be the least worse' getting 4th rather than 'who's going to have the best run-in'

Haha, it has a bit. Although i reality Arsenal haven't been particularly bad imo. Form has dropped over the last month or so, but you always get that as part of a season. If you want the latter scenario you could hope for Spurs to beat you guys and have a stormer of a run-in but don't hold your breath while doing it.
The 4 that currently have the spots deserve them without question. I don't think you'd find a Spurs fan with working eyes that would say Spurs deserve to be higher than 5th and most, myself included, think its somewhat of a miracle we are as high as 5th.

I think we should be about 7th, don't quite know how we are higher

I'll say it before the WUMs - those "lucky" 1-0 penalty wins at the beginning of the season :) Plus a couple of others we just about scraped (eg, Cardiff)

That's just utter incompetence. Reminds me of our youth side in the U19s thing.
The benches look pretty mismatched, anyway.

    On the Beeb:

John in Belfast, via text: Is it worth mentioning the last time Arsenal played a decent team away from the Emirates they got tanked 5-1 at Anfield? And Bayern are a better team than Liverpool. And I'm a Liverpool fan...

No ****! No one else would feel the need to point out who they support after they said Bayern are better than Liverpool, it's not even up for debate to anyone except a red Mouser :D
