Was thinking about this - is he that bad? A lot has been said about his "containment" tactics being similar to Parps I do not recall NUFC playing Everton and ever having it easy. We rocked up the year we finished 5th at Goodison. On offer for NUFC, potentially - with favourable results that didn't go our way, as it happens - was Champions League football. For Everton, there was fck all on offer. No incentive at all. We were easily outplayed, Jagielka - a recruit for very little from Sheff Utd - was outstanding. As were other cheap imports - Pienaar and Baines in particular. It was an easy win for them, they played good stuff. I don't know why Moyes got it so wrong at Man U - maybe it's just the players are too egotastic for a work-hard manager. But I do not see a Moyes = Parps situation. Moyes >>>>>> Pardew. I don't think Sir Alex, who should know a thing or two about football, was all wrong. And Moyes finished in the top 10 consecutively over 8 seasons, qualifying for CL football in the process.

In our position we are beggars. In the grand scheme of Joe Kinnear, Dennis Wise, Tony Jimenez, Alan Pardew and Joe Kinnear (again), you'd think we'd walk over hot coals for a David Moyes.

Bit of a shame, Moyes won't be remembered as a guy who turned a relegation candidate into a top 8 team with little to no money, but a guy who had a disastrous spell at Old Trafford.

Believe Moyes has fooled most of the people most of the time.
He is nowhere near the manager the press believed him to be until he took over at THEIR club.
(The press have two clubs. Man U and Liverpool - which they are currently showing with their unbelievable bias in coverage of the Liverpool v Chelsea build up)
Still Moyes is light years better than Pardew.
    But then....who ISN'T ?

I think Moyes would get results most places he goes. I think he is a poor fit for here. That "stop the oppo" type of manager just doesn't go down well.

I think we need a more positive approach. I think we need to take a risk and get an up and coming manager who plays a more modern style.
