Why does everyone think we've done a bad job this window when we don't know what's been said. Maybe as part of poyets contract negotiations this is what he wanted to happen and have more control over the clubs finances such as players wages. Fans think because we haven't signed a whole new team it's been bad but I think this is what poyet and congerton wanted during the window so they'll be happy with it. Poyet also said we won't panic buy and he was true to his word so it looks to me like poyet is pulling the strings for most of the club.

I am happy. I think we have a good squad. I am disappointed with Borini as I thought he was more interested in playing football than money but I guess I was wrong.

I think we have a good squad going forward. Its only 4 months until the next window.

We dont know the full story concerning Borini. I am convinced there is more to it than meets the eye. Poyet mentioned several time that there is more going on behind the scenes that we do not know about. In any case, having Borini stew in reserve squad for half a season might mean we get him on a cheaper deal later.

Overall the transfer window was a good one IMO, defence is a bit weak down the left. Would have been nice to get one more (preferably left footed) defender in.

But midfield looks very strong now.

Id have liked one more defender and one more forward but if we aren't cursed with injuries we are improved on last season.

Happy as well. We have to remember this is really just the start of poyet and congerton's transfer dealings. We were never going to get everything at first time of asking.

I think we where only 2 players away from a very good window, another defender ( left sided) and a attacker, centre forward, goal scorer, whatever you want to call them. Off the top of my head our 3 x centre forward scored less than 10 between them all year. Very surprised this wasn't addressed as goals is what keeps you up. Saying that confident that Poyet will keep us well away from bottom 3.

I think Congerton and Poyet have done remarkably well in this window. Some good PL experience brought in for very little money and no really "risky" signings financially. Sensible and decent window.

I'm a little worried about how light we are at the back and would've liked to have seen a new striker but otherwise very happy with things

Happy with a fit Rodwell, competition in goal, have no idea what Alvarez brings to the party, but really not over enthused with squad size nor quality after first 11. Where is the wow signing, really worried regards our forwards, and if in jury's should play there part, honestly think we're in for a tough season.

Think teams around us appear to have done better than us IMHO.

Needed to be addressed......wasn't. Think Congerton has dropped the ball on this one.

I think they have done great to fix the many problems of last year, cant help feeling we could of used the Borini money to make us a little more solid up front and at the back though

I think we have decent forwards at the club we have just lacked in the creativity/supply dept. For all I liked Jack Colback I think we have moved away from a negative thinking pass sideways/backwards mentality and hopefully our front lads can benefit from the additional quality brought in.

This 100% Marcus, we could have offered stupid money to attract average players and ended up like Leeds or Portsmouth :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Pant-Westwood
    Jones-Bardsley
    Aanholt-Dossena
    Coates-Cuellar
    Gomez-Gardner
    Rodwell-Colback
    Buckley-Vaughan
    Alvarez-Scocco

That shows a vast improvement imo, problem is that we're two players light, with a Premier league Loan slot unfilled. Decent window, spoilt by failing to fill the gaps in the squad.
