Thought I'd start a new thread re the 'SYSTEM ERROR' currently plaguing us as the issue, previously highlighted in DragonPhills thread, has not been resolved, in fact it's getting worse.

Previous responses suggested that it was our browsers at fault. Sorry Mods but you're wrong, especially as is says at the top of the re-direct page 'SYSTEM ERROR'. On top of this browser issues effect individual users, not a group of users, members. Throwing irrelevant results from network toys such as ping (speed), tracert (number of hops) didn't help as it is a 'SYSTEM ERROR', or server error.

It would appear that we have a usage limitation, a session time-out, a cache limit set too low, or simply a block on our server which is affecting our forum. It also appears to be only effecting US as I don't see any evidence suggesting that others are experiencing this problem, which is odd in itself.

I'm not saying that the issue is malicious, it may be simply a recent update has changed OUR settings or reset US to test mode, either way something is wrong and needs sorting out, it's been going on far too long and is infuriating us members, contributors and is adversely effecting the freedom of discussion and spontaneity of response; the raison d'être of all forums. Swansea City forum is becoming un-fit for purpose due to this 'glitch', which is not acceptable.

Help us out super-mods, Thanks <ok>

Can't understand the issues because others (me included) have had no problems at all. Weird.

This is the reason that I QUERIED the browser as a possible fault.

As can be seen it doesn't effect everyone, and usually with a server error, it affects EVERYONE, but seeing as it is not, guess where the FIRST port of call is, yes, you the user who is having the problems. It may seem trivial when it throws up a system error, but its the very basics of fault finding, start at the very beginning. But instead of answering the basic question, and then being 100% able to rule out browser problems, I got it thrown in my face instead, so to be quite honest, f** em. Leave them sort it out themselves, because I don't give a ****, the site works for me.

Oh and browsers too can affect groups of users, a simple browser update on chrome, which tends to auto update on your own system, means a group of people using the same browser, all get the auto update, all could have the same problem. Or put it this way, this site may have had a security update, it then renders all IE6 browsers as useless, again, 1 browser problem affecting a group of users.

There is also a reason why I queried the hops too, because as an avid on-line gamer, I know too well how some users can have problems, and others not connecting to 1 server, just based on their route to the server.

Don't know why you're having a pop at me mate I was only saying it's weird because it hasn't affected me. I actually think some of the comments aimed at you from DragonPhill have been way out of line and said so but there you go.

Sorry I was using your post as a reason why I went staright into browser checking, I forgot to quote the OP point at why the "mods were wrong". Have edited my post to account for that, sorry you thought I was having a go at you.

It has been happening on other clubs boards so it is not only us. I get the same trouble now and again but it has improved a lot from last week. It is the problem of not606 and not any browser ......It's about time they got their act together and found the problem....

    Think I've sussed it.

In network connections, I changed the TCP/IP settings to "obtain DNS server address automatically". Previousely I had specified a DNS address, as I always have since time.

Since the change have had no problems. I'll monitor it for a few days and get back to you. If it sorted the problem we could put it up as a solution to the prob. See how it goes <ok>

Don't know. I use a specified DNS address to get U.S Netflix (that's legal btw) and I haven't had a problem at all. Hope it works though.
