Diving - Is Monk Right?

Why should he , you appear more concerned about the oppositions feeling than the injustice against us .

 

It's down to the ref what he wants the linesmen to flag for , most of time the linesman waits for the ref to point in the direction he wants the throw in to go any other decision would be a bonus .How may have asked the question wtf is the linesman for ,i know I have on numerous occasions

 

Moses is a cheat and Mark Hughes is a hypocrite - he has mouthed of so many times about referees but then has the audacity to patronise Garry Monk - the guy is pathetic! Pulis has come out in support of Monk, and remember he fined a Stoke player last year for diving against us! Garry spoke his mind and if he is punished for it then fair enough - we all know that the FA pretend that they want to crack down on 'simulation' but they are gutless and not fit for purpose! Diving could be stopped tomorrow if players could be cited and given a retrospective ban - dive and you can't play for the next three matches; simple! But unfortunately the FA are just a bunch of big 5 sycophants who couldn't care less for the 'lesser' clubs. If Manure had been on the end of Oliver's decision then they would have sprung into action!

Hope Garry sticks to his guns - if he gets a ban and a fine then so be it! His integrity will be intact whilst that of Stoke and the FA will be worth nothing! Hughes has always been a miserable little sod and I didn't think my opinion of him could get any lower, but it has! He has defended the indefensible - so Rangel grabbed a little bit of Moses' shirt, and that was enough to make a supposed athlete fall over!!!! It would be laughable if the cheating bastard hadn't conned the ref!

 

Absolutely right cartoon..Slade and others have come out in support of monk and rightly so...

Didnt hear to much cimplaining when Gomez was ""Diving"" to win us penalties and free kicks and therein lies the problem .Every team wants theyre""Mistake calls "" To be front and center while looking at theyre favorible calls with a blind eye.....And the beat goes on....

 

Plenty of us, myself included, slammed Chico because of his antics last season

Me too, Hughes has never been a character I have ever warmed to, I think this issue has matured Monk, it's all a learning curve of course, but these moments can only be good for the game!..............

 

I support Monk and Hartson over what has been said but what has happened that has 'matured Monk', I don't understand where you are coming from on that?

On a related issue, who will act as manager if Monk is banned? And will they call the shots during games? (I can't see him avoiding a ban of some description.)

 

I don't see him getting a ban Bob, maybe a fine though, if he is sent to the stands well not difficult to follow the Leicester manager is it? You know headphones to communicate pitch side. Nigel Pearson swears by it!..................

Ban / fine could go either way IMO. I don't think we are the FAs favourite club by a long way and they may decide to 'stamp out' that sort of thing.
Any idea when we are likely to know?

Oh I know there was a lot of whinging vallley ( especially you ) with Chico , but what about Gomes.Chico saved his antics for non important plays.Not a lot of complaining about Gomes though , I knew you would bypass Gomes and have a go at Chico ...lol

 

I wasn't on here when Gomez played for us otherwise I'd have slammed him too. Chico's antics were embarrassing, I couldn't give a toss if he was the Pope, I'd still criticise him.

Gomez seems to have wised up though and I don't think he now has the reputation he had with us. Seems to me it's hypocritical to say Monk is spot on and that Moses is a cheat then try and defend Chico's acrobatics.

 

Some parts of Chico's game were great, and it's a shame he didn't focus on his strengths, instead of all this over the top acrobatics, it was very embarrassing on times, and while Gomez liked to dive, he was not in Chico's league in my view. Chico's lack of discipline on this issue cost us points, shame but history now, thank goodness............
