    We still in for Shane Long at all .. or have Reading priced him out of a move unless Chelski, Mansour City or Kenny Dollars want him?

    I'm disappointed that there's players who'd prefer to play in Ligue 1 rather than move to the Premiership but if that's his decision so be it, not every footballer has ambition. Reckon we could get someone better but would have liked to have got him.

    I'm pretty sure Erding hasn't been doing interviews over the summer how it's been his dream to play for PSG and wants to become one of their many legendary strikers. I'm also pretty sure PSG's owners haven't come out and said Erding isn't for sale at any price. And finally, I'm also pretty sure that Erding isn't held in as high regard as Carroll was seeing as PSG have been trying to flog him for most of the summer and he's almost certain to be a bench warmer next season now they have Arab billionaire owners.

    Yes, thats a good answer. I just think that it should be presumed as a lack of ambition because there's plenty of reasons to want to stay at a club and likewise there's plenty of reasons to leave.Prehaps Erding wants to stay there out of loyalty to the club (I agree with you, i doubt that that'll work out ot well for him) or because he likes the area and feels settled there or something

    I just figure, if I was a footballer I wouldn't want to stay at a club that clearly doesn't want me, especially when there's a chance to play in the best league in the world on the table.

    He wants to stay but PSG are offering him out to Lille as part of a Hazard deal. If he feels unwanted we could still get him.

    I do find it mildly amusing that as soon as there's any hiccups with any transfers everyone chips in with 'f** him then, didn't want him anyway and he was ****e' , '...I was never a fan...', '..we can buy better with the Carrol money..' etc etc after being hyped up for weeks .. Gervinho and N'Zogbia got the same treatment the moment news came out about them possibly not joining .. <laugh>
