Bergditch makes it 3. The official Twitter calls it a debut goal despite him featuring on Saturday.

Sick of our comms team; the programme last week, which cost a fiver, was full of bad English and grammatical errors.

Sounds like a good night all round.

Absolutely delighted that KAG has his first goal at The Valley. If Reza's back too then our striking options suddenly look more promising.

Look forward to hearing from those who were there.

So you dabbled in the market, then? Good for you. <ok>

Sounds like you've sorted your plans for the week. Have a good one, pal.

You could say this hotel is much too plush for an uncouth nerk from Thamesmead. :emoticon-0131-angel

I know we've won the odd game in this competition in recent years, but this does'nt feel like Charlton. A comfy 4-1 win at home against lower league opposition. I want my Charlton back. One of my most miserable nights at Upton Park was a league cup defeat against, I think ,Walsall. Thoroughly deserved defeat, so tonight is part of my recuperation.
Seriously, my feeling is that we seem to have at least the makings of a fine team. I'll give it the traditional ten games to pronounce my view, but so far, good feelings about this.
And respect to the Daggers fans for the conga.

Two good home performances- now let's see if we can carry it on away. It was good to see Reza looking a bit more slimline than previously< and also hungrier Charles-Cook is not a RB though and we need another option if Solly gets injured, Cousins, maybe. Pope seems to have a problem with shots along the ground, and I hope that with the new goalkeeping coach they can sort it out. Luzon has a decision to make on who partners Bauer at CB.

Agree with FHB... but from what I've seen Diarra gets the nod over Sarr alongside the excellent Bauer. Skiddy surface affected Pope on the ground, but one fumble was still poor. Reza looked sharp, and may have moved ahead of KAG. Watt made a big difference again, and there was enough from Ba, Ceballos and Bergdich to be optimistic. Also a word for Fox, who had a very solid game. Dag's #10 looked very handy, but overall we were well on top without playing as well as 2nd half Saturday.

What I liked was despite going 3-0 up - we still went ahead and brought two attacking players on in the form of JBG and Reza.

3 players with double-barrelled names on the pitch at once- is this a record? To counteract the problems for the commentators the team was packed with players with short names (Pope, Sarr, Fox , Watt, Ba, Bauer ).

Was a good performance yesterday. Reza's goal very well taken.

I was delighted when Bauer signed (simply heard a big German CB). I'm pretty sure he's the first choice CB now, superb positioning and can pass it really well. It's just whether we go for Sarr or Diarra pairing with him now. I really liked Sarr yesterday, he missed one interception but seemed calm and composed when he recovered.

Just wondering who you guys think will be our CB pairing this season?

I like Diarra and think he's actually quite a classy player - but I don't want him having a future in defence. His nature is to keep his foot on the ball, yes there could be an argument that he's good at distributing the ball out, but I'd rather two no nonsense centre backs. I hope Sarr is that to Bauer.

bauer is looking class. there was a moment in the second half where he got fouled and shouldered off the ball, the realisation that he was the last man was clear on his face and by how he reacted. he got back up and sprinted after his man like it meant the world... and then the foul got given.

he's not used to making mistakes it seems. just what we need.

thought sarr was good too, some real class in there - not just kicking to row Z to clear, but taking on the attacker.

some will disagree, but i thought pope did alright. i was sat closer to the pitch today and you could here him commanding the defence. goal was not his fault as the cb's pushed up but h fullbacks didnt.

Not much to choose between Diarra and Sarr, let's see how Sarr does against better opposition. He'll probably get the nod, so we can see how he does. I'm a Pope fan particularly his organisational ability, but last night he was troubled by shots along the ground, even ones that were quite gentle. In contrast he was commanding when the ball was in the air. maybe it was the conditions. As I said, Charles Cook ain't a FB, and it showed with their goal. Good midfielder though.

Hopefully when Sarr does come in; this means that Diarra has a place in our midfield. Pope seemed to have problems with shots across the ground in general. Thinking back to Derby last season, when it went through his legs.

Wonder too, with Gucci playing and scoring what plans he has in Luzon's team. After the world cup I was filled with quite high expectation and excitement about him as a player, and was hoping that he'd feature regularly. I'm still happy if we give him the shot, as he could be a useful team member.

Jackson was running around like a 20-year old last night, and he lasted 90 minutes no problem.
