Would agree with that, but all his problems stem from his tee shot. I think when he's hitting fairways he will putt well, as has been proven this week. When your constantly scrambling every hole after missing the fairways it drains on you having to make tricky putts for par all the time. It's much easier to make them when there for birdies. So I think like you say if he can get things right with the driver long term the rest of his game will click into place. We are still yet to see him and Rory in a final group together, that would be great to see. Especially if it was in a major. I think Rory is the only player these days that has that extra gear that Tiger had in his prime
What a brave run by Mo Farah in the 10,000m. Clipped in the last lap, then had to hold off two bold challengers. He ran the last lap as though the Devil himself was on his shoulder. The look on his face as he worked the last 200m was amazing. And is Gatlin going to lower Bolt's colours?
..erm, of what, Oddy? Yes, great run by Mo, but I will be amazed if it hasn't knackered him for the 5000m, what with the heats and all?
Ah, thanks Cyc, usually the word/icon is in a different colour, but not this time. Well, maybe the weather will improve, although it certainly did not when Germany's top weatherman lost his job a few years ago due to a serious bust-up with his girlfriend. Having said that, studio cats never fazed him at all, a real pro: Hang on, 'this' is in a different colour! Going colourblind, jaysuz!
Oddy did you ever get round to watching love/hate?!currently watching Orange is the new black.Im not normally a fan of American comedy but this one has me in stitches
Wonder if Hamilton will get off his ass today and make use of his pole position, he's been half-asleep at the start lately. No use getting pole if you can't make good use of it.....................
Until recently, last minute race start settings were passed onto the driver on the grid, that is now banned. Just like you and me Swanny, they now have to do most of the work themselves. The things still have enough wizzbangery to put a man on the moon, but now last second changes are finished.....I think. From Spa, the clutch bite point may not be changed from the moment the car leaves the garage for the first time after the pit lane has open until after the race has started. A manual bite point offset switch can be used after the race has started. (What ever that means.)
Good lord, thank goodness all I have to do is drive a bloody car. That is all too complicated for me!
Have accquired series 1 mate but still on Season 5 of Breaking Bad, so it's in the queue along with This Is England 86 and 88 Have heard good things about Orange is the new Black. Wasn't aware it was a comedy though - just goes to show you Have also been recommended The Wire, also in the queue for watching.
Ok, seems that it might not just be down to driver at start. There will be programmed mapping already factored in. So they might be blaming the tec guys if they stuff it. If Merc miss the start again, **** will hit the fan behind the scenes.
Breaking Bad along with Love/Hate are the two best series I've watched. Have to say I was dissaponied with This is England, doesn't have a patch on the original film.Yeah OITKB is a dark comedy set in a women's prison in America,I wasn't holding out much hope but found myself laughing out loud for most of it!The Wire is on my list as well,I heard it's very detailed so won't be watching it with a hangover.Just finished FOrtitude, what the **** was that all about,a wooly mammoth virus in Iceland?!Have to say the Spanish lass was rather tasty so made the viewing less painful
Ste ive just started watching the Wire this weekend, its great, and ive only seen the first 7 episodes. Missed a lot of these sort of programmes when i was on the road as a taxi driver but now with my weekend nights back i can get to grips with a fair few series that ive missed... Breaking Bad is also on my list but i'll stick with The Wire for now...
Cheers Red,it's next on my radar.Recommend you watch Love/Hate,got rave reviews and rights have been snapped up everywhere. Its Dublin gangland stuff,so if you like the wire/sopranos gritty crime dramas you will like this
Ah, Soprano's... Now there was a series i loved... Will deffo take a look Love/Hate if its in that genre...thx...
Well, seems Hamilton and Bolt got out of their respective traps properly today when it counted. What a champion that Usain Bolt is; honestly thought he would get cooked this time by Gatlin, but when the American saw Bolt on his shoulder at 60/70m he choked. He was just not used to that. Hamilton? Pretty straightforward.
I enjoyed Breaking Bad very much, have to say. However, IMHO it is not a series to reflect on. There were some of the most evil characters in it, especially the 'hero', a completely selfish and cruel asshole if ever there was one. So, enjoy the series, but don't think about it afterwards, is my advice. Brilliant acting, that's for damn sure.
