probably until 2 games left, and then appoint Chris Goreham as manager on a five year rolling contract. <ok>

Answering this seriously I'd keep him even if we get relegated. I think this has been one big learning curve for the young inexperienced manager, but we know he can cut it in the Championship, so I reckon if the worse does happen then there's no better than AN to get us back up.

Yes Mulder and I would agree with you, but a lot will depend on which players we can retain.
On a slightly different topic and looking back at last season, our defence was suspect then and we conceded some soft goals. Let's hope Pinto and Klose can justify their recruitment VERY quickly!!!!!

If you had asked Norwich fans a year ago if they would have been happy if a year hence we were in The Premiership and outside the relegation places then I think you would have had 100 per cent approval. I think people are being unduly critical of Neil (and also btw of RussellMartin) short memories.

Would you prefer to be in the bin men's situation, struggling for the opportunity to get kiboshed by Burnley or Derby?

I took a punt, although The Toffees have hit a sticky patch recently.

If we want "instant results", I think he's got until the first of March.

After Chelsea, we have: Swansea (A), Man City (H), WBA (A), Newcastle (H), Palace (A), Sunderland (H), Watford (H). That's the run of games which will decide our season. If we look lost, in the relegation zone, and some degree of vitriol has built up between Neil, fans and/or players, then that's the moment to make a change and hope the fabled "new manager bounce" can take us to a couple of good results and the start of a decent run.

Do I think we'll make a change then? Would I want us to? No. But to me that would be the most effective time to make a change. But it's of course a gamble, relies on the right man coming in, and means giving up on someone who I think has the potential to build something good at Norwich, even if it takes relegation. I think half the reason that Hughton stayed so long is that the board dearly wanted him to be the one to grow us as a club, I think Neil is an even better candidate for that.

So far, I'd say we stick with Neil until Christmas, and beyond that unless we're looking well short of Championship promotion.

Ok this is clearly Ipswich fans with too much time on their hands trying to cause division amongst us since they have nothing to look forward to with regards to their own team.

Nonetheless, I shall humour them and offer my input:

Neil took us out of the Championship against all odds so he should be given the opportunity to keep us out of it. Even if we get relegated I think he should stay provided we go down with a fight. He is doing OK with one of the worst squads in the division.

If we sack him there is nobody available. We would replace him with somebody like Pulis who specalises in setting up teams which are hard to beat? No thanks, that's not what we want in the long-run.

About as long as your ugly brand of football.

If you think about it (which the OP clearly hasn't), he only joined us in Jan 2015.
    That's one calendar year ago.
In which time, he's overseen promotion back to our rightful 'perch' in the top flight ;)
and is trying his best to make sense of life as the least 'bank-rolled' club of the 20 in that division.
I see it as work in progress and would rather join him on this learning curve than rely on some 'old skool' manager with so called 'experience' such as Allardyce, Warnock, etc. just to initiate a dogs-of-war mentality merely to try and ensure survival <ok>
    {p.s. Everton just went one up vs the Toon - get in!}
