Aguero, toure, silva, de bruyne, sterling, hart is probably close, Kompany.

    Sanchez, ozil

    De gea, Rooney

    Costa, hazard, Favregas, Terry.

    sturridge, Milner.

big name players at big clubs will be on it and any new players in the summer will be close and above if they are big transfers with the new Tv money. Those 4 can easily offer over that to 5 or 6 players no problem. If they wanted any of your big 3 players they could still easily out do you on wages

    Nope.

    Of all of those names only;

Aguero, Toure, Kompany, Costa Rooney and Hazard earn more than £150k a week

    So as I said - a handful

The simple fact is that due to significant shift in the economic power base from traditional financial centres to more emerging/modern ones and the internationalisation of the game in the last 10-20 years generally that an era has gone and a chapter has come to a close. Gone are the days of the 'one club player', in the PL Gerrard, Lampard, Terry were the last of those, and also gone is the manager as fitting and fixture of a club building a dynasty over decades. Wenger is the last of those. When he goes that'll be it, all managers will only hang around for probably 5 years max, most for less. Increased cash flow is one of the reasons for this with players and managers being attracted by lucrative contracts and a general change in football culture/lifestyle is the other. This is tied in with much easier, more efficient modes of travel, hyper-developed global markets and business, increases in awareness and support of traditional clubs globally ...

I think the trend shows you MUST put ethos at the hear tof the clubs structures. You must have CEO, you must have technical directors so ensure you move past the boom and bust of changing managers and losing all your coaches at the same time.

our heads are in the sand while other clubs who are far less wealthy hammer us time and again in europe.

Anyway in your rush to be #bitter, you missed the point re: our ability to pay our star players more money now.

Our current wage bill is half yours for example, and our top earners are on around £75k a week

To put 4 of them on double that i.e. £150k a week, would cost about £16m additional per year.

That would still put our wage bill at about £60m less than yours...............

    These numbers are available.

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/premier-league-wages-your-club-5729730

everton are for sure far less paid and our spoiled brats. As far as I know these numbers are now all bigger than shown in 2013/14.

    http://www.totalsportek.com/money/english-premier-league-wage-bills-club-by-club/

this one is less reliable but it says lfc pays 152 mil this year (144mil last) and everton pay 74.7mil this and 69.3 mil last year.

so 60mil is actually too small a gap <ok>

Our lot grossly under perform for the fee but then we don't lose i nevery comp so can focus on fewer games.

A blown cup final and a last 16 tie in europa is about the sum total of what we got from that 70mil...

Youve obviously not read my post as I said you, like us, can't afford to pay top dollar like city United Chelsea can. Theh can all give lukaku 200k a week no problem if they wanted, neither of us can do that.

In your constant 'me v them' argument you've ignored my actual post and tried to throw the bitter tag back in my direction <doh>

Because he wouldn't get an appearance fee, goal bonus, sub fee to take him over 150k a week <whistle>

You still don't ****ing get it do you mate? <laugh>

It wasn't about us and 'you'. I was merely highlighting the point using your club as the example - seeing as you'd already decided that given your own internal ceiling was £150k then we couldn't either match or exceed it.

Our wage bill is currently low by PL standards and certainly compared to the oil clubs and United - and half yours!

If we decided to pay Lukaku and extra £125k a week to take him to £200k - we could - as that's £6.5m a year incremental. A piss in the ocean when added to our overall wage bill and then compared to those clubs mentioned <doh>

Can someone explain in more detail how this works in real terms (rather than magical comparisons to a much bigger club)?

Your revenue has not increased (except for the TV deal which is nothing to do with Moshiri).

So the plan is to use a one-time injection of funds to cover ongoing wage expenses? That seems like financial suicide.

Or is Moshiri going to pump tens of millions for inflated wages every single year?

So, how much is Moshiri putting into:
    1. covering increased wage bill for current signings (new contracts requested by every player next week)
    2. covering increased wage bill for new signings
    3. transfer fees for new signings
    4. stadium development

    That £16m a year is £80m for a 5 year contract

Is this £80m in addition to the £100m warchest or part of?

If the former, then Moshiri's investment amounts to nice deals for your existing players plus a shiny new £10m-£15m player on modest wages

Dare I say it but out of TV money that wage is easily attainable for a marquee player for everton. If they want it to be Lukaku work away I say.

The 100mil is just for me a round number for extra input.
