In that case, Poch is rubbish and should be replaced. There is no way I'm going to agree with a Spurs fan.

 

When is the big day, will need to be outside the football season or maybe the honeymoon could coincide with a champions league away leg.

Chart of EPL teams and how much they've spent on transfers per point. Spurs got the best value as they were the only team to make a profit on transfers. We were the next best with about 36K/point.

 

Just sat here with a cold beer looking at Saints being 6th in the table and being in with a great chance of European qualification. Looking back those desperate days in league one to where we are now puts a massive smile on my face, and today beating Spurs away really puts things into perspective, on how far we have come. I do miss those league one days though, makes me feel nostalgic thinking about it.

 

To be fair, the desperate days were just before L1.

 

I'm just praying that those 2 lost points against Everton don't bite us in the bum!

 

I'm just pleased that this recent run has given us a chance to qualify for Europe, whilst putting a real gloss on the season. Turned it into yet another very good season. There was a stage last month when I was falling into the 'what might have been' bucket. Afterall, that bad week in March has cost us a shot of top four and that bad two months in November and December has cost us a shot of the title. But thanks to these few games, that's largely pushed to one side.

Could be a slight surreal situation next Sunday though, if we're in a position where us and West Ham are trying to out-win/score each other (well, we would only need to equal them, but you can't take that gamble during the game).

 

Having just watched Liverpool v Watford on MOTD, I have to say I am more confident that Chelsea might get a draw there on Wednesday.
How Watford didn't score I don't know and if Liverpool defend to the same standard, I think Chelsea should make them pay for it.

I agree with Vin. Actually, you might even need a refill. I reckon your glass is empty.

 

Even the best teams drop points...I'd rather we dropped them against Everton than against City, Arsenal, Spurs etc. Those last games have been a pleasure. And anyway, why pick on the Everton game...we dropped points we shouldn't against other sides. I'm trying to keep a stiff upper lip about this Euro qualifying thingie, if we miss by a point or whatever, it has still been a good season with promise of better in 2016/17.

That would involve mentioning the West Ham ground and I'm still cross about their deal with the Olympic Stadium....when there are lovely teams (one in particular) who can't even get an extension. I demand a Government grant to extend St Marys.

 

Yes that has potential to get really weird.

We've had some cracking results this season, so I wondered what a top 10 mini league would look like based on this seasons results.



Leicester still sit pretty with Chelsea still to play, but it's West Ham catching the eye in second, with two games left against Man Utd & Stoke. Is this an indication they'll perform well in these upcoming matches or are they due a loss?
This table certainly demonstrates how tight the league is and probably proves the theory that although Man City & Arsenal have great talent, their players don't consistently have the battle for the big games

 

Stoke's Stephen Ireland broke a leg in training today.
