Yep. He shagged Chris Martin's 'ex' wife - word got around, lost the dressing room which sparked a poor run of form before he was sacked.

    ah didn't hear that
got medically retired just over a year ago but before that had to visit sites in the Derby area to fix IT faults and regularly gossiped to Derby fans so used to have a fair idea of what was going on but now out of touch
used to keep track on both Wisdom & Ibe during their loan spells and was worried even when Ibe was scoring they weren't impressed

Nasty Man Utd fans booing Van Gaal during his speech. After complaining how City fans treated Pellegrini in his final game, hahaha.

Was a massive furore over his departure and the chairman took a lot of stick - but once the 'news' emerged, PC's position was untenable.

It's a shame because he started so well and the style of play was attractive.

i assumed Wassall was a caretaker manager so surprised they never appointed a known manager considering the cost of the Derby squad

The bbc can't help but have a dig at us and to blame Rafa for relegating Newcastle is pretty low.

    22:34
And so comes to an end the most memorable Premier League season ever - a campaign in which 5,000-1 outsiders Leicester City won their first ever title.

A campaign in which Jurgen Klopp took over Liverpool, but they finished below West Ham and Southampton in the league.

A campaign in which Chelsea sacked the most heralded coach in their history and only just finished in the top half.

A campaign in which Rafael Benitez started off as Real Madrid boss and ended it getting Newcastle relegated to the Championship."

BBC is only trying to keep our fans feet on the ground. For all the optimism that we had and still have re Klopp, we finished lower than last season in the league which should be our bread and butter. :bandit:

Totally agree carl, but they could have harped on about Man Yoos utter failure league rather than big up their win against Bournemouth, and anyway unlike the bbc we won't and can't pass judgement on Klopp until he has his own team playing for him.<whistle>

Deffo, the main picture and story for the last two days was Rashford and today they reckon Rooney wanting a midfield berth for the mancs and England is more newsworthy than the build up to tonight's final.<laugh>

****ing joke article. 250,000 people said Rooney shouldn't play for England. #bbcsalford ignored those and focused the question on whether he should play in midfield or as a striker.

    Euro ranking update:

So with just the CL final to play which will only affect Spains ranking (and they a light years ahead anyway) we have finished the season in 3rd with a healthy lead of nearly 6 points over Italy. That guarentees 4 CL places for the next 2 seasons.
    http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2016.html
Next season we start with a 2 point gap
    http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2017.html
and up it's to Leics, Arsenal Spurs and possibly City to garner the big points available in the CL. A bit of help from Utd, Saints and either Palace or West ham in the EL would help.

As for Liverpool, the EL run has seen a climb to 35th:
    http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/trank2017.html

Next season will be a low scorer (just country points to add) but we lose a similar season from 11/12 so start from 28th:
    http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/trank2017.html
That will probably drop to around 40th by the end of the season meaning pot3 at best for a possible return to the CL

we will more likley drop to 50 odd by the time we are back in europe... total disaster zone again.

Aslo reality check for england. 2 point lead but dependant on clubs with no ambition.. spurs bottle everything. Leicester... southampton.. west ham? if england maintain a 2point lead i'll be totally shocked TBH.

Can't tag people with the @ so quoted them instead :)

Done it to about a dozen people. Two have since signed up (one wasn't someone I quoted) and only got seven places left.
